Liam put down the phone and sat on his chair, feeling upset.

After a long time, he called out to his secretary with a bitter expression.

“Notify the major shareholders to attend an emergency board of directors’ meeting.”

The secretary left to notify the major shareholders while Liam tidied up his outfit, composed himself, and walked to Boardroom 1.

A little over an hour later, the major shareholders from the board of directors arrived.

Trevor and Miles looked at Liam and Sadie, their faces dull and gloomy.

Trevor said coldly, “Mr. Wolfenden, I heard from Miles that the six bank presidents were here to seek repayment of debts. What’s going on with that?”

The shareholders’ expressions changed drastically!

‘The banks are pressing for payment of debts? Why?’

Sadie’s expression was slightly unpleasant, but she brought herself to say, “They were here to seek repayment of debts indeed.”

Miles said in a sarcastic tone, “I only wish to know if you’ve agreed to them, Ms. Wolfenden.
