Escape II

Few seconds later, the maids ran back with a tensed look "The young miss has escaped." The maids kneel cap weakened, as they fell on their kneels in union.

"I will tell you to stop when you need to, just fvcking drive." Charvie yelled in the taxi she had entered like a crazy woman, her behavior and her looks, scaring the driver.

A lady in a revealing night robe running like she was being chased at night.

Charvie pulled off her ear rings, and other metal stuffs on her, including the metal waist chain around her waist, throwing it out of the car window, her hair in a mess, making her look rogue.

In the next minute, the car stopped in front of a beautiful manor, in one look you will imagine the owner to be a rich and fashionable person.

She pays the driver with her slippers, which was gifted to her by Alberta, Bryan's mother, and she knew what fortune it will cost. The driver was confused, but couldn't stop her as she ran out of the car into the small gate glued to a side of the manor.

Now she had nothing of the Hayes on, that they could use to track her, she knew by now, the maids would have gotten a whiff, that she was missing, and Elder Mrs. Hayes guards will be scattered around San Francisco, looking for her.

The guards of the manor stopped her once she gets into it compound "I am here to see Nathan."

The guards held a quizzical look, how can a lady come to visit their boss, in such a lewd manner, they knew how responsible their boss was, and how he won't go about changing women like clothing even though it was a secret wish of his family to "Who are you?"

"Someone he would wish to see." She knew it would be a great bad deal, disclosing her name as 'Charvie Klein' to just anybody, when she knew how powerful the Hayes were, they will dig six feet and more to make sure she is found, they could place her on TV, and set a price on her for the first person to find her and bring her back home.

One of the guards signaled to the other, to go inform the master of the house that someone was here to see him, and a sigh of relief escaped Charvie's heart shaped lips.

After few minutes of waiting, the large door, to the interior, was pushed opened by several maids, who rushed out of the house one by one, lining up on the entrance 'what a show off' Charvie scoffed, a mocking grin on her lips, even in the tension she felt herself in.

"An hardcore criminal in my house at this untimely hour, I need a tighter security, before the Hayes sends thunders, lavas and dragons to devour me." Nathan Pascal emerges from the long trail of maids, his looks unmatched, looking like one of those imaginary prince charming, with a beautiful physique, a dark smile on his lips, before it turns into a chuckle as he walks to the fair lady he once knew, now looking wretched, but truth be told she still looked a million time eye catching and even more sexy in her robe, than any woman he had ever seen.

From a mocking grin, her looks became akin to the state that she was in, fear eating her to the thinnest, as she runs into Nathan's arms, leaving Nathan surprised "As it gone viral that I escaped the Hayes."

"Those cunning family" Nathan hugs her back, gritting his teeth "A secret message as being sent to all hotels, motels or even the slightest lodge not to hold you in, or they should be ready to face the consequences if they do."

Nathan was a childhood friend, she found solace in, the heir to Pascal's family, and she knew how much power the Hayes had over the Pascal, the Pascals would be doomed if the Hayes finds her anywhere close to 'em, she was quick to pull away from Nathan, aware of the danger she was putting him in 'How dare she come here of all places?' she felt frightened even more.

"I am sorry Nathan...fvck I couldn't think of another place," her feet's began moving backwards, ready to run away again, but Nathan pulls her back.

"I don't care the dangers the Hayes are going to do to me, but to you. I will help you to the Pascal's hotel tonight, you need to explain what happened to me later, then we can find a solution together." Nathan said, his voice calm, his hold soft on her hand, his face carved with emotions, which confused Charvie.

HAYES'S MANSION.

"We lost track on her ma." Men in black, sat in front of a system, blinking a red.

"Show me where she stopped, I know my sister so well." Isabella volunteered to help, walking to one of the men, her gaze tightened on the system "may I know where she was before you lost track on her."

"Yes." The man typed something on the system, showing her the address.

The Hayes where angry, and the Klein's where looking like ghost, each of them insulting and cursing in their mind for the ungrateful Charvie.

"Ohh, I think I know where she is, it will be non other than her childhood sweetheart Nathan Pascal." A vicious smile formed on Isabella's lips, seeing the new look the Hayes wore 'Charvie, you are sure dead, and you too Nathan, you won't be left out of this.' the hate she had for Nathan was beyond repair, she remembered how he had embarrassed her, pushing her into a pool because of her sister, Charvie...and many other despicable things he had done to her, now it is time for revenge, bringing down his family to a pauper should be enough.

"Are you sure?" Elder Mrs. Hayes asked, rubbing the back of her grandson's palm, to calm his worried looks.

"Yes grandmother, I am sure." Isabella's look turned sober, like she worried for her sister grately "please grandma, my sister is just a child, I will like you to take it easy on her, I knew I did something wrong in the first place, I shouldn't have gone to the party that night."

"She is such a sweet girl." Alberta Hayes made a comment, making Isabella blush "Good manners, I would have loved you for my son, if mother doesn't have eyes for Charvie." Alberta turned bitter, giving Elder Mr. Hayes a side eyes glance.

Elder Mrs. Hayes didn't reply Alberta, and Alberta wished she could read through the woman cold looks "Tell the guards to go to the young master of the Pascals house, to check if truly Charvie is their."

NATHAN PASCAL'S HOUSE»»

The Hayes' men runs into the compound of the manor, and Nathan bodyguards stopped them, each men looking at one another.

"We came in peace, I would like to see your boss." Isabella who had volunteered to follow the guards alongside Bryan asked.

"He is not around."

"Is that true." A coquettish smile on Isabella's lips as she asked "A little warning to your boss wherever he his, if we find out he is helping my sister, Charvie Klein, he would be doomed, alongside the Pascal's, a warning from elder Mrs. Hayes..." She paused, moving closer to Nathan's men "Save your boss, and tell us where he as taken my sister to, and I won't kiss and tell. Did he perhaps take her to the Pascal Residents or one of the Pascal's villa, or the hotel..." Isabella prolonged her last sentence.

The guards seemed unyielding, not even blinking their eyes, to make her suspicious of them 'well trained dogs' "Spit it out now, and save your master, if we get to find out ourselves, that he his keeping the Hayes's future daughter in law, grandma Hayes, would prove her words." Isabella's words, stern, her voice hard like a rock, but no one answered "Then we have no choice, start with the Pascal's resident, then put the hotel second and every other thing with a...."

"Wait.." A middle aged man sweating profusely runs into the midst of the guards "I am the butler of this house, and I won't want my master to get into trouble, he didn't help the lady, but I know where she might be...."

"Take this key, 'Room number 436' on the 26th floor, it is a room reserved for a vvip guest, but it hasn't be used for a long time now, you can just wait their 'til all this shit with the Hayes are over." Nathan gave Charvie who was now in a fur coat a key, with Charvie trying to blink away her tears, as she pulls Nathan into a warm hug.

A sudden lightening of pink color brightened the inside of the car for a while, as Charvie pulls away, the srong scent of earth entering her nose, before an heavy rain began "Not now, take this card, give it to the receptionist, I don't think anyone would recognize you as the runaway daughter in law."

Charvie took the card from Nathan, her eyes welling up with tears. "Thank you, Nathan. I owe you my life."

Nathan's expression softened. "You're safe now, Charvie. Go."

Charvie left the car abruptly, with her giving Nathan a last glance, and she ran towards the hotel entrance, her heart racing. She burst through the doors and stopped at the reception, showing the card, and the receptionist gives her a knowing look, nodding her head for Charvie to go. Charvie, sprinted towards the transparent elevator, pressing the button repeatedly. The doors slid open, and she dashed inside, her eyes fixed on the numbers as the elevator ascended.

Unbeknownst to Charvie, the Hayes' men had arrived at the hotel, alongside Bryan and Isabella, their eyes scanning the lobby. Isabella spotted Charvie entering the elevator, and she alerted the men immediately, who sprinted towards the stairs instead of the elevator, taking the steps three at a time.

Charvie's elevator stopped at the 26th floor, and she rushed out into the empty hallway. She found Room 436 and inserted the key, her hands shaking, making it hard for her to get in quickly, and she became sweaty all over, loud fastened footsteps could be heard getting close "fvck it." She half yelled knowing it was the guards, turning the key for the last time, the door pulled opened, before she noticed one of the Hayes men had caught sight of her, she rushed into the room slamming the door shut, before he or the others could catch up to her.

Breathless, Charvie stared at the the door, her eyes fixed on the peephole. She saw the guards rushing down the hallway, their faces twisted in determination. They stopped at her door, pounding on it.

"Open up! We know you're in there, Charvie!"

Charvie's heart raced, but she remained silent, her eyes fixed on the door. The guards continued to pound and threaten, and Charvie's leg began moving backwards in the dark room 'I am sure dead!!'

Nathan's help was in vain, putting Nathan in a bigger trouble, her tears began falling non stop, ignoring the way her head was banging like crazy.

In a motion to turn to face the room she was in, but before she could, suddenly, a hand grasped her neck from behind, pulling her back. 'Why are you here?' a low, gravelly voice whispered in her ear. Charvie's heart raced as she tried to wriggle free, but the stranger's grip held firm. ''Who are you?'' she managed to stammer. The hand tightened slightly, but not painfully so. "Answer my question first."

The hold felt familiar, and it brought back the memories she had thought herself to never let out again.

Charvie didn't reply, agitating Cruz "What do you come to steal this time? A gold watch again?"
