Chapter 2; REGRETS II

"I can't!" No matter what, she had promised never to take this off, or she would be revealing her identity, putting her family in danger.

"The pleasure is all mine." he began walking towards her, everything about him, was damn to suffocating.

She began moving backwards on the bed, like a kitten who was running from her biggest predator.

Even with the way she tried getting away, he caught up to her, pinning her hands to the headboard "Take it off, like the sweetheart that you are, and I might intend sparing you."

She shifted her face away from him "I fvcking need help." She said, hoping her mom would hear her, but hearing a light chuckle from the man, who had pinned her to the headboard, she doubted it.

"Here." He held out her earpiece, before throwing it across the room. Having used his large palm to pin her hands to the headboard, he brought his hand to her mask, about to loosen the rope, when she did the unexpected.

She abruptly wrapped her legs around his waist, pushing him to her, before slamming her lips on his, catching him off guard, his grip on her hand loosening, in shock, leaving his head a total mess.

Charvie seeing he was distracted, was quick to get the hourglass on the nightstand, as she made to strike it across his head, but who the hell was she playing with, he held her hand back, pulling away from the kiss "You just played with fire." A smile she had never seen before appeared on his lips, before connecting their lips again in a hot and rough kiss, that she never knew when the fire of desires ignited in her and her senses burnt to ash.

PRESENT...

Charvie's breathing came out uneven, as she splashed water on her face, she heard a slight knock coming from her room door, and she exited the bathroom immediately.

"Young miss, your father seeks for you in the living room." She heard the maid's voice coming from her door.

'What does he want this early?' she had come to secretly hate her family when she found out her sister's illness was faked 'How could they?'

After she had shamefully and regretfully escaped that man's room that night, without his notice, and had left with a watch, her sister was the one who welcomed her first, taking the watch from her.

And no one felt remorse, even after she had yelled the part he saw her face well and he would come for them in no time, her father had initiated they left Texas to California, San Francisco.

No one felt what she felt, after she gave her first for a damn watch, so that the Klein could be recognized by rich people who could further bring them to brim light, and that was what is happening, they became recognized, and she would be getting married to her rich fiance, who came to her life with their perfect connection, the love of her life, Bryan Hayes three days from now.

She got into a less revealing nightwear, leaving the room.

LIVING ROOM - 6:30 AM.

"Good morning my dear." Charvie's mother, Mrs Klein, rushed to Charvie pulling her into a warm hug "How was your night?" Mrs Klein pulled away, before running to the centre to the side of the couch "Your fiance just sent this, this morning." Mr. Klein who sat on one of the couches holding a newspaper to his face, secretly gauging his second daughter's looks with a side eye said.

"Where is Isa?" Charvie asked, nonchalantly.

"We haven't seen her since last night, you need to appreciate the Hayes." Mrs. Klein insisted.

"And why should I?" Charvie asked, walking to one of the tons of boxes, pushing the lid open, and a smile crept on her lips, as she bit her lower lips "Hey Love, can't wait for you to be fully mine." a letter stood on the necklace.

Her smile downed, she loved Bryan so much, but she always felt guilt eat her up, knowing she wouldn't be giving him her first.

"Did he get the gown also?" She directed the question at her mother, knowing very well she would have known the content in all the box.

"No, Bryan said he hasn't found the perfect one yet, and I get it, crazy outfit everywhere now."

Standing on a rooftop of a very tall building, was the brutally handsome Cruz Hayes, his calm demeanour, akin to that of a king, as he exuded a bone-chilling aura.

His tall frame leaned on the rail, watching the world beneath him that morning.

In a light vest, which gave view to his muscular arm, any female would kill to be encircled around, a tattoo of a lady, stood on it.

A large tobacco pipe stood between his fingers, as the smoke he lets out of his mouth weaves into the air.

Looking at him, you would think he is in his mid-twenties until he tells you he was just in his mid-40s.

A man dressed in a well-groomed suit walked into the rooftop "Speak!" He ordered, without having to know who it was.

"Your father would like you to come to your nephew's wedd...."

"I don't have any intentions in going."

"You would have to go." Another man walked, exuding a mysterious aura "The girl on your tattoo, your past, have you given up on finding who she is?"

"It's just some random tattoo I got before I lost my memory," Cruz answered.

"And you stopped getting to know who she is after you met the girl who had a striking resemblance to the girl on your tattoo in Texas."

"Yes, because I found out I got this..." Cruz pointed at the tattoo on his arm "Even before the girl was born, she is not the one."

"We need to find her, she might know the cause of your amnesia." The other guy's persistence irritated Cruz.

"I don't need to know her." Anger laced in his thick voice, as he walked away from the rooftop.
