Chapter 55

Ella had just finished packing her small handbag when her phone rang. She immediately picked up the call after hearing the special ringtone. She also realized that she needed to change it since she was not sure how Daniel would feel when he heard it.

She had set that special ringtone for him in a fit of anger, and hearing it now made her want to puke.

“Hey, what’s up? Have you already picked up the kids from school?”

“Yes. Are you done with work?”

“Yes, I was just about to leave. What do you guys want to eat for dinner? I will pass by the supermarket and get some ingredients.”

“Just come home, all right. We have a surprise for you.”

“Oh, a surprise? What is it?”

“It won’t be a surprise if I tell you.”

Ella left the office with a smile hanging on her face. She could not wait to be home and see the surprise that had been prepared for her.

After staying alone with the kids for too long, this was the first time someone was waiting for her at home with a surprise.
