It was Sunday. Freya and Noah were home, Noah playing around with his toys.

Two weeks had passed without Freya hearing from Diego. The silence was long and excruciatingly painful, absolutely unbearable for her.

Freya stared blankly at her phone beside her in intense anticipation of Diego's name appearing on the screen.

That was the first time she had stayed for some days without a phone call or a text from him. She was certain he was probably mad at her.
