Sophia’s POV

“Back to reality,” I whispered to myself as I stared at the stack of project files on my desk. The vibrant colors of the folders were a sharp contrast to the soft, dreamy glow that had enveloped me for the past few weeks.

I could still feel the warmth of the Tuscan sun on my skin as precious memories of our sweet, eventful honeymoon kept coming back.

But now, as I sat in my office, reality settled in, reminding me that the honeymoon was over.

Yet, I couldn't help but smile. A genuine, contented smile that seemed to have a life of its own. People had noticed, of course. Even Tina, who rarely paid attention to personal matters, had commented on it just yesterday.

“You've got that glow,” she'd said, her eyes narrowing playfully as she handed me another set of files. “Married life suits you.”
