Elijah’s POV

I sat on the edge of Julia's bed, flipping through channels with the remote in hand. The room was quiet except for the faint murmur of the TV.

Finally, I’ve been discharged from the hospital but I was still sticking around because I felt obligated to take care of Julia.

Julia, propped up by pillows, watched with me. We stumbled upon a cartoon, and its slapstick humor caught me off guard. I chuckled, but Julia's expression remained unchanged.

“You used to love this show,” I said, trying to break the silence.

Julia glanced at me, her eyes narrowing slightly. “It's kind of stupid, don't you think?”

I blinked, taken aback by her bluntness. “But... you were obsessed with it as a kid. When you were still Sabrina…”

“Oh!” Her eyes widened briefly, then she looked away, fidgeting with the blanket. “Well, I'm not a kid anymore, Elijah,” she murmured, reaching for the remote to change the channel.
