The restaurant Nico chose is packed and we have to wait for a table, but I don’t mind the wait because it's clearly a hot spot and I kind of missed this. Going out with Farrow. Even if he's still angry, arms crossed, shoulders tense and standing by my side but giving me half his back as a punishment.

I hate that he’s so cute.

“Farrow,” I try to get his attention. He ignores me for about three seconds before giving up and looking at me, “My feet are killing me. If you don’t help me, I’m going to ask Nico and then you’ll only get angrier.”

He lets out the biggest, bitchiest breath out but he fully turns to me and opens his arms as if he’s allowing me to use him however I see fit. Thank god, because I’ve been standing for ten minutes and that’s officially the limit.

I go for his neck, wrapping my arms around it and forcing him to carry me. Farrow wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me up a little, keeping me there as if we’re just hugging.

I’m not enjoying this, though, I

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Caught Again

"What now? I can’t open this door either?” I let out, trying not to focus too much on his nearness. "Not yet, wait. I just want to apologize,” he murmurs, sighing, “I’m sorry I’ve been such an asshole tonight, I really don’t like fighting with you. I was just so mad… but I’m over it now. I don’t even care anymore.” “Really?” I ask in complete disbelief and turn my head a little to look back at him. I don’t believe that for a second. “No, but maybe I can repress it like you do,” he says in a low voice so close to my ear, it makes me feel forbidden stuff, "And I know that you’re completely free to kiss anyone, I just don't like it.” "Well, that's too bad," I whisper, trying my hardest not to lean back against him. Farrow sighs again, even harder, "If you want me to apologize for kissing someone else, that won't happen. I don’t feel sorry.” "I don't want you to apologize, I just need..." he struggles for a moment, "It’s not just me… my wolf feels unsettled, Sky. Can I just sce

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   It’s Going Well

I wake up the next day still aggravated. And it only gets worse when Sky sits me down on the breakfast table like I’m a kid to tell me I can’t attack her boyfriend tonight or she’ll cut my dick off. As if. She likes it too much… or… maybe not anymore, actually. Maybe she likes another one better now. No! Repress! Repress that thought! “Are you understanding what I’m saying?” She asks, turning to me and pointing at my face with a knife. She’s making subs for lunch, “I will be kissing him, probably. I mean, most likely, since we’re dating. And he’s helped me so much with this au…” I roll my eyes and repress her voice and what she’s saying in real time. Whatever. I had all night to prep myself mentally for the mess of tonight. I think I’m ready. Or, more like, defeated and surrendered to the shit storm about to hit me. Because I can’t avoid it, I have to go through the shit storm with my head up and my mouth shut because the alternative would be me not showing up to Sky’s im

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Team Farrow

Right before we walk inside the gallery, Sky grabs my arm and she pulls me aside so Bobbie and Rocky can get in first. Then she keeps pulling me until we’re in the dark alley next to the gallery. She’s about to threaten my dick again, I think. “I’m always a good sport when you act like an untrained dog, but I won’t be today,” she says, eyes very serious. Damn, she never called me an untrained dog before, “I didn’t care about you punching Peter, but if you do something like that to Cam, I'm going to kill you. This is a very important night for me, I will NOT forgive you if you fuck it up." "Baby, I get it. I understand, you don’t have to keep repeating yourself,” I say, trying not to smile or tease her because she’s obviously very nervous, “I’ll be a good boy.” "That's what you said yesterday," she growls at me, making me wince, "Seriously, if you feel like you can't take it, just leave. I want tonight to go perfectly and I don’t want to spend all night worrying about you.” "I

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Sabotage

I stay with the family with my back firmly to the gallery so I don't have to catch a glance of Sky and Cam again, but when the auction starts, there's no way of escaping that sight anymore. I sit in the front row with the rest of the family with Bobbie to my side and Noah to the other and I have to look right at Cam standing in front of the crowd and hear his stupid lame voice as he talks about his artists. Sky and two others I don't care about. He starts with the other two artists and I honestly tune it out completely. But then it's time for Sky to come to stage and introduce her three pieces. This, I care about.I almost cheer and clap until I remember this is fancy people. Fancy people are quiet and sophisticated, they don’t cheer. So I just pull my phone out and I snap a couple pictures of Sky looking hot and artsy over there. The first two pieces she shows are abstract and dark, but they're really cool. Kind of gothic, which is not her usual style at all. She’s a colorful, c

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Not Working

"I'll make you a painting, Farrow, just for you," I say, making a smile grow on that stupid gorgeous face I love so fucking much, "Of me kicking your ass out of the house. You will keep this money and leave. Soon." "What?" His smile immediately drops, "Sky... what?" His obvious hurt and panic is making me want to bend over backwards to tell him I wasn’t being serious and make sure he doesn’t feel like that anymore. I want to grab his face and kiss him and laugh at his dumb decisions, but I can't do that. It only feels good five minutes, then reality crashes down on me and reminds me of everything that happened. "We're family and we're always going to be," I continue, swallowing to undo the knot in my throat. This doesn’t feel good at all, but it’s the smart thing to do, "But we're not a couple, Farrow. Living together is blurring the lines, it's making us want things that we can't have anymore. I really think that living apart will make things easier. We can still hang out a l

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Time’s Up

"The date got canceled, there was a situation with his family," I respond, walking to my daughter because we've been distant since I grounded her, but she was so sweet today. I scoot closer to her until I can hug her, "What are you guys watching?" "Nothing yet, just browsing. I've binged three different shows since you guys decided to take my phone away," she mutters, but there isn't as much venom in her voice and she's still hugging me, "I was telling Dad how dumb that was back there. Him trying to buy your painting, like some revert money laundering that doesn't make any profit." "It was a romantic gesture," Farrow mutters, still not turning to look at me, "I don't expect two cold hearted women to understand. All you care about is money." "Yeah, kinda," Bobbie responds with a laugh, "So what are we going to do now that we're rich?" "Nothing. Be sad," Farrow responds. Jeez, he's in a mood, "I was happier when I was poor." "Okay, stop now," I get up from Bobbie to look at hi

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   The News

"Sky, you... this..." he stammers frantically, squishing his ear into my tummy so hard, the twins might fuse together into just one person again. Then he starts lifting my long dress, leaving me in nothing but panties. "Farrow, oh my god!" I complain, but he's not listening, he's on a mission. And when he's looking at my tummy, he stays like that for a second, inspecting. I'm sucking it in, by the way. Hard. "You're not pregnant," he spits out and I think he gets pale. He pulls my dress down again and he stands up to walk away from me, shaking his head, "You're not fucking pregnant. No." Funny how we both went straight to denial first. I take a deep breath and cover my face for a second. I can't believe his hearing is that fucking good, that's insane. But I guess I should've fucking remembered how he would lay over my big belly when I was pregnant with Bobbie, listening to her heart. He's not reacting like I thought he would, though. He's pressing himself on the wall, as f

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Cat’s Out

Sky's mouth falls open at my audacity and I'm kind of expecting her to hit me again and then laugh because that was totally a joke. A little bit. I mean, unless... "You’re so fucking..." she closes her eyes and tries her hardest not to smile, "No. Obviously not.” "Obviously not, baby, that was fully a joke to lighten up the mood I ruined,” I explain, making her snort and relax just a little. At the end of the day, that was my goal. I made her relax a little bit and now I can finally apologize, "I fucked Violet in our bed and I will never forgive myself for that, so I don't expect you to forgive me, not for a second.” Sky winces and gets closer to me with her palm up, trying to make me shut up, but I don't let her cover my mouth. I grab her wrist and take it to my nose and breathe it in. "And I already apologized, but I will do it again a million times if you need to keep hearing it. I hate that I did that, I wasn't in my right mind, I was in a spell," I remind her. And it's

I stand up and get closer to the mirror for a second to make sure there's no more cream on my face before rounding my bed to get to his. Farrow narrows his eyes at me and braces himself when I walk until I'm standing right in front of him. This time, he's forced to look up at me and I quite like how he looks like this. Shirtless, hair messy and a little scared of whatever I'm about to do. "If you think it's so easy to just say no..." I start, feeling like a villain when his eyes get wide like he’s terrified. "Don't do anything crazy right now, Skylar. I'm not a saint..." "Hush, this is a test. If you think saying no is so easy, just say no and send me away," I continue with a naughty smile that I can't help because he looks terribly nervous when I start taking off my old pajamas. Now I'm annoyed I chose to wear them, but the way his eyes fall to my legs when I drop the pants to the floor makes it all worth it.I proceeded with the shirt and then I'm standing in front of my e

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Got To Go

I sigh and roll my eyes as Farrow walks away. I hope he keeps that sassy energy all night because if he actually tries something, I'll give in. There's no point in denying it, I'll simply give in. And I’ll do it with a smile on my face. "At some point you'll have to realize you're dragging this. You’re dragging the unavoidable," Rocky says, making me return my eyes to him, "You need him right now, there is clearly a very mutual bond going on here." "Shh!" I let out, looking to make sure Farrow isn't still hanging around, "Shut up!” "Even for Farrow, this amount of sick obsession isn't normal. It's definitely him feeling the bond," Rocky continues, brushing Alex's hair back. The little boy is completely lost on Rocky's phone, not paying attention to us, "And that sort of thing doesn't happen just because, okay? You shouldn't ignore it or it'll just bring a lot of pain to both of you. Resentment looks very ugly on you, sis, let it go." "Easy for you to say," I whisper angril

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Siren Eyes

"He won't be a step dad at all, Farrow. We're only casually dating. Very casually," I finally respond, avoiding looking at him. Farrow huffs and stays there, literally just standing behind and breathing over me for two more minutes until I'm done with the salad, then he walks behind me to the dinning table, "Oh, I forgot the napkins..." When I turn around, Farrow starts walking backwards so he can follow me to the kitchen again. This time, I have to close my eyes and stop a smile from growing. Stop it, Sky. Don’t smile at something so unhealthy and psychotic. This is sick behavior. Codependent behavior, like Rocky said. But... it's the bond, isn’t it? The compatibility bond because of the pregnancy. Farrow feels it too. His wolf feels it. "This is getting ridiculous," I scold him anyway, trying to reach for the napkins, but he grabs them first and then has the audacity to look at me as if he doesn't know what I mean, "You're acting like an anxiously attached pet. You haven't

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Surprised

"Cam is such a lame, isn't he, Bob?" Farrow continues a couple seconds later and his naughty hand falls ‘casually’ on my leg, trying to grab my thigh, but I grab his hand and put it back where it was. "Yeah, now that I think about it, he's kinda lame. And too old for you, Mom," Bobbie mutters, her Switch making noise while Farrow returns his fucking hand to my legs. And this is why I can’t trust this man. He always disrespects my boundaries and he laughs while doing so, making a game out of everything. "And he's not even that cute," Bobbie continues absentmindedly, "Dad is cuter." "Oh, she's so right," Farrow lets out in delight, bringing his hand back and trying to slip it in between my thighs this time. When I give him a warning growl, he gives me an offended look, "I'm just looking for a warm place to keep it. I'm freezing, it's so cold." "Stop," I say anyway. Because even though he's not being sexual, it's making me feel things and I don't need that. Not after the weir

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Pregnancy Brain

“Mom! Mom, can I buy this?” Bobbie appears in front of me all of a sudden, showing me a make-up kit with a lot of different things. I only blink at her, dazed, “It’s only eighty five dollars and I have the money to buy it myself! You know, the money I took from Dad the other day… oh, hello…” “Hi, Bobbie, it’s good to see you again,” Cam says and points to the lady in front of us, “This is my mom, Lucy.” “Hi, Ma’am,” Bobbie says politely and Lucy gives her a warm smile, “It’s good to see you too, Mr Randall. Uhm… Mom, are you done here? The guy is waiting for me to pay but I didn’t actually bring my money, so you have to pay for it right now and I’ll pay you back once we’re home. I promise I’ll actually pay you this time.” She’s being frantic and little rude, but she is giving me the out I need. I’ll gladly take it. “Alright. Go back to the stand, I’m right behind you,” I say and once she leaves, I turn to Lucy again, “I’m sorry, I have to leave. It was so nice to meet you, Luc

{ Sky } When Farrow comes back to the table with a smile on his face, I relax on my seat because I know whatever is going on with Bobbie is not going to be that bad. "She's okay, she'll come back soon," he says and returns to my side, instantly stealing my spoon to take a huge bite of our cake, "I told her about the ‘spoiling her’ pact, but don't tell her I told you I told her." I roll my eyes and nod, more than used to his useless secrecy when it comes to me and Bobbie. It’s useless because me and Bobbie tell each other everything. Just like they do when they’re alone. And just like me and Farrow do when we’re alone, so I don’t know why anyone even bothers. A couple of minutes later, Bobbie comes back to the table with her head held high and I can tell she’s been crying, but I don’t say anything as she returns to her seat next to Henry and whispers something to him. But once the kids have had their dessert as well, I tell Henry to stay with Farrow as he pays so I can have

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Second Chances

"That sounds like a solid plan. I'll live at home for another year and a half to help you with the twins, but then I'm totally moving out. Once you feel like you have it all handled on your own and no longer need me, I’m out… let's shake on it to make it official," I offer her my hand. She grabs it, sealing her fate, "You can't take it back now.” "Alright... but you're way too happy about it," she murmurs with narrowed eyes, "I got carried away last night, but that's not going to happen again, okay? Not ever." "Never, I promise," I lie with a smile on my face but I think she knows I don't mean it because she hits my stomach, smiling too. And since it doesn't look like Bobbie is going to come back anytime soon, I guess we’ll have to stay a bit longer, “Do you want dessert?“ “Yes,” she responds instantly, “Do you want to share the lava cake with me?” “Obviously, friend,” I respond with a smile. We’ve been sharing the lava cake for almost two decades, she doesn’t even have to ask

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Planning Ahead

When we get our food, Bobbie looks at the triple decker longingly, but that's what she gets for being fake and dumb about food when I’m sure Henry wouldn’t think twice about what she’s eating. Still, she's happily chatting with the boy about their friends at school, homework, her being grounded and the nintendo switch the boy wants to buy. It's very boring, but still annoyingly cute. So I start to think this is the perfect moment to let Bobbie know she's about to be a big sister, because she’s in a good mood. I have no idea how she's going to react. Not too long ago, back when she was still a sweet baby girl, she was very jealous. Any time there was another kid around and we paid attention to them, she would throw tantrums. Of course, she's changed now, so she might not care. Or she might care a lot, we don't know. Still, having Henry here was a good idea, Bobbie will definitely behave herself a lot better with him around. "So, Bobbie... we have something to tell you," I

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Old Dad Things

"So, when are we telling her? Before or after we eat?" I ask, face to face with Sky. I can tell she wants to wrap her legs around me like she normally would, except we're in public (and just friends, supposedly) so she stays like that, with her feet dangling on the air, and just puts her arms around my neck. She's so close to me, all I can think about is how much I want to fucking kiss her again. "I think later, I'm starving," she says and I start walking to the restaurant, "Just let me do most of the talking, yeah? And don't be rude to the boy." "I won't be. His mom is a nice lady, so I guess he can't be that bad," I murmur, making Sky move away to give me a surprised look, "That doesn't mean I suddenly like him. Just that maybe he's not that bad. Maybe." "Okay, that’s good enough," she says and just lets me carry her inside. When I walk past the bar, I see Moe there, cleaning the counters. I greet him, making Sky turn her head to him as well, "Hi, Moe!" "Hey, kids. I haven
