After lunch with Nico, I drive to the main building to have a meeting with Alpha Frank and discuss money.

The money I'm owed for being the biggest dumbass to ever live.

Alpha Frank is a very straightforward and serious man so we get to the point in two minutes and when I look at the check he extends over his desk, my eyes widen to the size of the moon for one second. I have to force myself to stay calm.

Holy fucking shit, I don't know why they're giving me so much money, but you won't catch me complaining. Not at all.

"Lastly, I need you to sign this. You can take your time reading it," he says and slides a document my way, "It's just to make sure you feel happy with the outcome and this issue is finally resolved."

I do read it, just in case they're trying to fuck me over somehow, but it's really only to make sure I won't make a fuss and keep exploiting this situation to get more money later on.

Half a million dollars is enough ‘victim compensation’ for me, I don't need

{ Sky } Now that the initial shock about my pregnancy has gone away a bit, I come back to my doctor’s office so she can run some tests on me just to make sure everything is going alright with Baby Number Two. It takes a lot of needles going into my body and almost two hours of waiting, but I don’t care. I’m not fifteen anymore, the chances of me just magically popping out another perfect baby are low. I have to be more careful now that I’m old. Hope is here with me and every time we stay alone, I wonder if this is the right time to tell her we want her to adopt a kid for Rocky, but I chicken out every time. “Alright, you’re hiding something,” Hope lets out when she can’t take it anymore, “You fucked him again, didn’t you? I knew it would happen.” “What?! I didn’t fuck Farrow, I wouldn’t!” I lie, but her eyes never change, “Fine, maybe I would, but I haven’t yet. And I won’t. Anyway, that’s not what I’m hiding.” “Spell it out then, this place is making me feel like I’m the on

The truth is staring me straight in the eyes, right there in the monitor, but I keep denying it to myself for another ten minutes.I mean, one baby was doable… but, two? I'm going to lose my fucking mind. Not to mention, little Alex is most likely going to be around too, since Hope didn't say no. So, the Anderson family is going to be running a daycare, basically. At least I know that my aunts are going to love that, they’re always complaining about how they never had any children. Now they’re going to be overwhelmed by the baby factory we have going on. "How has it been, spending time with Farrow?" Natalia asks. Somehow, I'm sitting in front of her desk again. I don’t remember moving, "The bond is only going to get stronger the weaker your wolf feels with this pregnancy." "Oh, great. This just keeps getting better," I let out sarcastically and take a deep breath, "It's really difficult to stay away from him, Nat, it makes me feel sick. But allowing him close to me is a bad idea

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Basic Needs

"Hi, mom, Auntie Hope," Bobbie murmurs when she gets to us, but she only looks at Henry, "Did you choose something already?" "Yeah, I think I'll go with this," Henry lifts the stuff to show her. Bobbie tries to look interested and not panicked but it's not working, "I'll go pay, I'll be back in a second.” "Oh, Roberta…” I sigh and shake my head, "You know what happens when you start lying about where you’re going and with who?" "What?" She asks, eyes still down. Hope reaches and flicks her forehead, making Bobbie yelp even though it was clearly not even that hard, "Ouch!" "You get kidnapped and then you die," Hope says for me. I have to bite the inside of my cheek to stop a smile, "If we don't know where you are or who you are with, anything could happen and we wouldn’t be able to save you. You really want to put your whole family through that?” "Okay, Hope... too much," I roll my eyes at my intense sister, then I look at Bobbie again. She's now giving me her big, scared eye

“You went a little crazy,” he murmurs when he actually pays attention to all the bags, “Did you buy me shoes though? Because I've been walking around in the same pair since I left.“ "I know. And I did," I respond, sitting back and letting him handle it. I really missed him today, so I can’t take my damn eyes away from him as he starts opening the bags, "You like that shirt? That’s for the auction. I got you a tie and dress pants, too.” "Yeah, it's very fancy pancy," he says, examining the dark blue shirt. He keeps going through everything I got him, even the boxers and socks and the two different pairs of shoes. And I still can’t take my eyes away even for one second. I swear I try, but it’s completely useless. Once he’s done, he stays quiet a few seconds as if he's in deep thought, then he lets out a tiny little smile. "Thanks, baby. I know I should’ve done this myself, but I really hate shopping." "I know," I smile. That's why he's been stealing Rocky's clothes, “I don’t mi

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Without It

Bobbie is already sitting at the table and texting on her phone. Farrow looks at her with narrowed eyes for a few seconds. This is very new, him actually being mad at her. Of course, he hates the Henry situation way more than her cursing at him or icing him out. And I didn’t even tell him about the skirt thing, I think that would piss him off even more. He walks to sit next to her and snatches the phone out of her hands like a badass. I have to hide a smile. That was really hot, him finally standing up to his bully. Bobbie takes a breath to complain, until she remembers she’s already in trouble and forces herself to stay calm. “Can I get it back? Please, Dad,” She adds, her voice strained, “I’ve been extra nice to you today.” “No, you’ve been fake nice out of guilt. Because you lied to my fucking face this morning,” Farrow corrects her, “I’d rather you be mean to me than fake nice. And I don’t like the lying, so you won’t get this back unless you’re going somewhere witho

“Might be a good idea,” Farrow continues, thinking more about it, “She deserves it. The other day she called me a cocksucker and did it with her whole chest. I’ve never been more discombobulated.” Oh, my god. I’m probably the coolest mom in the whole world, but there’s certain words no kid should ever say. Or even fucking hear. Rocky bursts out laughing like a fucking idiot, I reach to punch his arm as hard as I can. “That’s your fault!” I complain, my brother is still laughing. I point at his dumb face and look at Farrow, “He called you a cocksucker a lot. I told him to stop.” “I called you way worse stuff, you don’t even want to know,” Rocky adds with an evil grin. Farrow is not amused, “Oh, come on, can you blame me? I’m the co-founder of the Official Farrow Hate Club, I had to come up with the best insults.” “I’m totally blaming you. But I’m also blaming you, Farrow, because you never watch your language around Bobbie either. You made her this parrot of bad words,” I sa

"Who is it?" Bobbie mumbles from inside her room. "Mom. Open up, my hands are full," I respond. I can hear her huff of annoyance but she walks to the door and opens for me. Her eyes are red and puffy, "You need to eat." "I'm not hungry," she says and sits her butt down on her bed again to keep huffing some more. I leave the food on her desk, then I move closer and sit down next to her, "I hate that he's still here, acting like nothing happened. I hate that he thinks I want to act like before, like I just forgot the stuff he said to me. What he did to us. I don't know why you're so quick to forgive and forget, but I'm not.” "You don't have to forget, but you have to put down the metaphorical knives and just allow him to make it up to you at some point," I say, patting her back, "But this isn't about that right now, Bobbie. This is about you lying to us... to me? Why?" "Because you two are a team again. I mean, you told him about Henry," she throws at me, lifting her face to sho

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Angry Wolf Napping

{ Farrow } For a couple days, the vibes around the house are terrible. Absolutely terrible. Bobbie is refusing to speak at all, to any of us, and Sky has been more distant than ever before. I feel like an unwanted bug in my own house. The only one that talks to me is Rocky. We’re kind of back to the easy relationship we used to have, the relationship that blooms when you’ve been around each other non-stop for almost two decades. We watch TV together, we cook together, he asks me for parenting tips (as if my daughter isn’t refusing to even look at me). But mostly, we talk about Sky and Cassie and how we're both missing what we used to have with them… Even if my thing with Sky is way deeper and better than Rocky's one month relationship with that witch. "I want to do MMA again," Bobbie lets out as I'm driving her to school. It’s a chilly Thursday morning, but it looks like my daughter is starting to defrost. It takes me by surprise, I was totally expecting another silent drive, "

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Could It Be

I try to calm the fuck down and pretend this isn’t happening, but my wolf is very much awake now and his presence is enhancing my senses to the maximum. So when I hear the same thing again followed by a little moan, I'm certain. She's fucking doing it, touching herself. It’s undeniable now, especially when the scent of her arousal hits me. Fuck, my baby is horny. She needs me. I know she’s trying to test me and I know I’m about to fail, but at this point I couldn’t care less. Also, this is on her. She's the one who’s been temping me since she walked inside the room with those old pajamas I like so much. She knew exactly what she was doing, prancing in front of me with her slender shoulder poking out and those old pants hanging low on her hips because the elastic is dead. She wanted me to break and she succeeded. I get up very carefully trying not to make noise until I reach the switch, then I turn the lights on and I’m rewarded with the best damn sight in the world.

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Backfire Central

I stand up and get closer to the mirror for a second to make sure there's no more cream on my face before rounding my bed to get to his. Farrow narrows his eyes at me and braces himself when I walk until I'm standing right in front of him. This time, he's forced to look up at me and I quite like how he looks like this. Shirtless, hair messy and a little scared of whatever I'm about to do. "If you think it's so easy to just say no..." I start, feeling like a villain when his eyes get wide like he’s terrified. "Don't do anything crazy right now, Skylar. I'm not a saint..." "Hush, this is a test. If you think saying no is so easy, just say no and send me away," I continue with a naughty smile that I can't help because he looks terribly nervous when I start taking off my old pajamas. Now I'm annoyed I chose to wear them, but the way his eyes fall to my legs when I drop the pants to the floor makes it all worth it.I proceeded with the shirt and then I'm standing in front of my e

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Got To Go

I sigh and roll my eyes as Farrow walks away. I hope he keeps that sassy energy all night because if he actually tries something, I'll give in. There's no point in denying it, I'll simply give in. And I’ll do it with a smile on my face. "At some point you'll have to realize you're dragging this. You’re dragging the unavoidable," Rocky says, making me return my eyes to him, "You need him right now, there is clearly a very mutual bond going on here." "Shh!" I let out, looking to make sure Farrow isn't still hanging around, "Shut up!” "Even for Farrow, this amount of sick obsession isn't normal. It's definitely him feeling the bond," Rocky continues, brushing Alex's hair back. The little boy is completely lost on Rocky's phone, not paying attention to us, "And that sort of thing doesn't happen just because, okay? You shouldn't ignore it or it'll just bring a lot of pain to both of you. Resentment looks very ugly on you, sis, let it go." "Easy for you to say," I whisper angril

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Siren Eyes

"He won't be a step dad at all, Farrow. We're only casually dating. Very casually," I finally respond, avoiding looking at him. Farrow huffs and stays there, literally just standing behind and breathing over me for two more minutes until I'm done with the salad, then he walks behind me to the dinning table, "Oh, I forgot the napkins..." When I turn around, Farrow starts walking backwards so he can follow me to the kitchen again. This time, I have to close my eyes and stop a smile from growing. Stop it, Sky. Don’t smile at something so unhealthy and psychotic. This is sick behavior. Codependent behavior, like Rocky said. But... it's the bond, isn’t it? The compatibility bond because of the pregnancy. Farrow feels it too. His wolf feels it. "This is getting ridiculous," I scold him anyway, trying to reach for the napkins, but he grabs them first and then has the audacity to look at me as if he doesn't know what I mean, "You're acting like an anxiously attached pet. You haven't

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Surprised

"Cam is such a lame, isn't he, Bob?" Farrow continues a couple seconds later and his naughty hand falls ‘casually’ on my leg, trying to grab my thigh, but I grab his hand and put it back where it was. "Yeah, now that I think about it, he's kinda lame. And too old for you, Mom," Bobbie mutters, her Switch making noise while Farrow returns his fucking hand to my legs. And this is why I can’t trust this man. He always disrespects my boundaries and he laughs while doing so, making a game out of everything. "And he's not even that cute," Bobbie continues absentmindedly, "Dad is cuter." "Oh, she's so right," Farrow lets out in delight, bringing his hand back and trying to slip it in between my thighs this time. When I give him a warning growl, he gives me an offended look, "I'm just looking for a warm place to keep it. I'm freezing, it's so cold." "Stop," I say anyway. Because even though he's not being sexual, it's making me feel things and I don't need that. Not after the weir

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Pregnancy Brain

“Mom! Mom, can I buy this?” Bobbie appears in front of me all of a sudden, showing me a make-up kit with a lot of different things. I only blink at her, dazed, “It’s only eighty five dollars and I have the money to buy it myself! You know, the money I took from Dad the other day… oh, hello…” “Hi, Bobbie, it’s good to see you again,” Cam says and points to the lady in front of us, “This is my mom, Lucy.” “Hi, Ma’am,” Bobbie says politely and Lucy gives her a warm smile, “It’s good to see you too, Mr Randall. Uhm… Mom, are you done here? The guy is waiting for me to pay but I didn’t actually bring my money, so you have to pay for it right now and I’ll pay you back once we’re home. I promise I’ll actually pay you this time.” She’s being frantic and little rude, but she is giving me the out I need. I’ll gladly take it. “Alright. Go back to the stand, I’m right behind you,” I say and once she leaves, I turn to Lucy again, “I’m sorry, I have to leave. It was so nice to meet you, Luc

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   The Biggest

{ Sky } When Farrow comes back to the table with a smile on his face, I relax on my seat because I know whatever is going on with Bobbie is not going to be that bad. "She's okay, she'll come back soon," he says and returns to my side, instantly stealing my spoon to take a huge bite of our cake, "I told her about the ‘spoiling her’ pact, but don't tell her I told you I told her." I roll my eyes and nod, more than used to his useless secrecy when it comes to me and Bobbie. It’s useless because me and Bobbie tell each other everything. Just like they do when they’re alone. And just like me and Farrow do when we’re alone, so I don’t know why anyone even bothers. A couple of minutes later, Bobbie comes back to the table with her head held high and I can tell she’s been crying, but I don’t say anything as she returns to her seat next to Henry and whispers something to him. But once the kids have had their dessert as well, I tell Henry to stay with Farrow as he pays so I can have

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Second Chances

"That sounds like a solid plan. I'll live at home for another year and a half to help you with the twins, but then I'm totally moving out. Once you feel like you have it all handled on your own and no longer need me, I’m out… let's shake on it to make it official," I offer her my hand. She grabs it, sealing her fate, "You can't take it back now.” "Alright... but you're way too happy about it," she murmurs with narrowed eyes, "I got carried away last night, but that's not going to happen again, okay? Not ever." "Never, I promise," I lie with a smile on my face but I think she knows I don't mean it because she hits my stomach, smiling too. And since it doesn't look like Bobbie is going to come back anytime soon, I guess we’ll have to stay a bit longer, “Do you want dessert?“ “Yes,” she responds instantly, “Do you want to share the lava cake with me?” “Obviously, friend,” I respond with a smile. We’ve been sharing the lava cake for almost two decades, she doesn’t even have to ask

  • My Ex-Husband Is My Mate   Planning Ahead

When we get our food, Bobbie looks at the triple decker longingly, but that's what she gets for being fake and dumb about food when I’m sure Henry wouldn’t think twice about what she’s eating. Still, she's happily chatting with the boy about their friends at school, homework, her being grounded and the nintendo switch the boy wants to buy. It's very boring, but still annoyingly cute. So I start to think this is the perfect moment to let Bobbie know she's about to be a big sister, because she’s in a good mood. I have no idea how she's going to react. Not too long ago, back when she was still a sweet baby girl, she was very jealous. Any time there was another kid around and we paid attention to them, she would throw tantrums. Of course, she's changed now, so she might not care. Or she might care a lot, we don't know. Still, having Henry here was a good idea, Bobbie will definitely behave herself a lot better with him around. "So, Bobbie... we have something to tell you," I
