“Are you okay?” Ava mumbled.
“One man down.” Roland replied.
Ava opened her eyes and saw the gun in Roland's hand. Then she looked at where the gun was pointed and saw a man lying in his blood.
“Are you stupid! What were you thinking, walking out of the store alone! Do you know how close to death you were just now!” Roland lashed out.
“I… I am sorry.” Ava replied.
Roland felt Ava’s hands tremble, and his anger immediately subsided a bit.
“Don't move. We still have three men uncounted for.” Roland calmly said.
People were running by them and screamed. But he remained focused as he surveyed the crowd for his targets.
