CHAPTER 16

Logan’s POV

It was a typical night in my "second home," as some of my friends liked to call it. The bar was alive with low laughter and quiet voices, each conversation brimming with ambition and strategy. In every corner, deals were being whispered over fine whiskey and cocktails crafted to perfection, the room dimly lit and polished, every surface gleaming under the soft amber lights.

Power, influence, and opportunity mingled here as freely as the smoke curling from cigars in the lounge, making this place as much a playground for the upper class as it was a business hub. And I loved every bit of it.

Entrepreneurs, executives, and financiers filled the space, each of them keen to impress, hoping to secure a sliver of my attention. I could spot a few hopeful faces glancing my way, some flashing big smiles, others already deep in rehearsed pitches. Beautiful women floated nearby, casually leaning closer, but tonight, they might as well have been invisible. I wasn’t interested.
