Chapter 118

Brittany started weeping when she stepped into the room and saw Fabricio lying helplessly on the bed. They were told the surgery was successful and that Fabricio was in good health but there lay Fabricio on his hospice bed looking worse than before.

She took slow steps toward him trying to hide her tears but they came tumbling down her cheeks. She went to stand beside him clutching the documents to her chest. She sniffed while her mouth quivered with sorrow.

“Mr. Bellini…. How are you?” She managed to ask.

“Bre… is that you?” He said in a weak voice. Brittany nodded with her head bowed to prevent him from seeing her tears.

Naya walked in and just then her smile faded from her face. They were told that he was okay but he didn’t look it, she staggered to his side and touched him.

“Ah… aren’t you Vicenza’s mentee? She used to take care of you, you were little by then” he tried to sound cheerful.

When he realized both ladies weren’t buying the act he dropped it and started to become more
