Chapter 3

Moving in with a lycan and an alpha at that

I went to my closet and pulled out my suitcases and started loading my art supplies into the luggage.

"Take your clothes Maddy, I can get you art supplies if you want," Mystrel said softly and I growled low and started removing all of them.

"I'm sorry your father decided to send you and your sister. I believe Dominik was responsible for the idea of it," he added and I rolled my eyes. I went to my dresser and started piling everything on the floor. The drawings I did of Mystrel scattered across the area and I heard him pick up some.

"Wow, you're really a good artist," he stated firmly and continued to look at my drawings. He picked up one of an odd colored gray wolf I'd done and frowned.

"Where did you see this wolf," he asked bitterly. I looked at the drawing and thought.

"The northern mountains, near my mother's original home in Siberia," I replied and he sighed deeply. 

"He's my sibling and an insane rogue wolf," he mumbled sadly and I nodded my head and told him sorry. He grinned slightly as he lifted a pair of my dainty

underwear. My cheeks turned pink and I grabbed them from his hand. 

"Tell me Madeline, are you innocent or have you lain with a man," he asked plainly and I growled angrily.

"I don't see how that's any of your business but no I haven't had sex or fucked a man," I growled low and got in his face. His eyes brightened and he smiled.

"Good to know," he said happily and licked his luscious lips. I watched his tongue and swallowed slowly. I looked back up into his eyes and felt overwhelming desire. It burst inside of me and made me feel extremely hot. Mystrel sniffed the air and growled low.

"How am I going to keep my paws off of you. Your desire smells delicious and I want to devour your cunt," he said seductively and I inhaled deeply and cursed. 

"You're just going to get me hotter and we won't get my things," I stated firmly, trying to avoid his hooded eyes that followed me across my room. I went through my closet and grabbed enough to last a week.

"I can send someone for the rest, I want to get you to my house," Mystrel said softly and I rolled my eyes imagining why. Mystrel grabbed my suitcases from my hands and told me to follow him. We went back to the living room and I saw Emily sitting on the couch next to her luggage. She looked sad and I questioned her with a raised brow. She waved me over and I went to sit next to her.

"Dominik said that neither he nor the Alpha had any desire to become intimately involved with either of us. He said it was unnatural for our kind to breed and it created hybrids, " she mumbled sadly. I eyed her oddly.

"Did you make a move on him," I asked curiously and she shrugged and said she may have tried to kiss him. I rolled my eyes.

"Sis, some advice, be harder to get, some men like the challenge," I growled softly and she looked confused as she thought about it. I rolled my eyes at my very knowledgeable sister. She'd been with several males. She was beautiful but super easy and I felt bad for her and any male she had her sights on. 

"How's your wolf, he looks like the type to take what he wants," she purred as her eyes raked Mystrel.

"Touch, entice or do anything to him and I will kill you," I growled possessively and she giggled.

"Just teasing silly, he's obviously got only you in his sights, sweetie," she told me sincerely and I huffed as I turned to see him grinning at me. I saw Dominik on a cell phone speaking with someone.

"We are getting a helicopter to fly us home," Mystrel said firmly and I shook my head.

"We could have just ran, it's not that far," I replied bitterly and he cocked his brow. And lifted the suitcases and I looked at him blankly.

"My sister and I are stronger than we look and can both run faster than your eyes can track. You both can run as wolves and we will run as vampires," I suggested and Dominik shrugged and hung up. Mystrel headed towards me and dropped my bags.

"Alright, meet you in the forest," he said and he and Dominik walked out of the palace. Our siblings gave us hugs goodbye and our parents told us both to behave and make a good impression. 

"I told them of course, I didn't want to become a wolf's chew toy," I mumbled and my father handed me a backpack full of blood bags, telling me Viktor would send more to the address they gave him. I hugged him goodbye. Emily and I lifted our bags and raced each other to the woods. I beat her and chuckled happily as she swung her bag at me and I jumped upward onto a branch.

"No fair, you're in much better shape,'' she cackled. I told she was fine and sniffed for Fenrir. 

"This way, sis," I mumbled and jumped onto the ground and headed further into the trees. I followed the scent for hours and finally broke through the forest and entered the clearing with the pack house. Emily stumbled into my back and her eyes widened at the area.

"It's a lycan community, how precious," she mumbled and dropped her bags like me and we both rubbed our arm muscles. The people ignored us as they continued with their chores. I looked up and saw Mystrel and Dominik approaching.

"Follow Dominik Emily and you follow me," he said as he lifted my suitcases. I waved bye to my sister and followed the mountain further into the woods. We neared a huge lake and an amazing log cabin. My eyes widened at the two story dwelling that had been hand built. I ran up the porch and touched the side.

"This is amazing," I said and he smiled and told me to open the door. I did and was surprised by the homey decor, it was cute.

"I love this," I mumbled softly and ran into the living room. The colors were warm and inviting.

"Did an ex-girlfriend help with this," I questioned him curiously and he chuckled heartily.

"No, I actually took a few classes on interior design," he said, surprising me. Mystrel was full of surprises.

"Follow me and I will show you to your room, it's upstairs," he said happily and I followed him to the second floor and into a beautiful rustic room with a wooden balcony. I ran outside and marveled at the trees I could run through. Mystrel walked out behind me and smiled brightly.

"You like it," he asked roughly and I nodded and said I love it. I really did, it was something I would have created myself.

"I can put that blood in the fridge for you. I've got solar and running sink water from a well," he said firmly and I nodded as I followed him back to his large kitchen. He turned on the bottom of the stairs and looked at me. We were almost eye level and I looked down at his mouth and back up again. 

"You can if you get the urge, um, to kiss me. I mean," he said softly and I grinned slightly and leaned forward pressing my lips lightly to his. It was simple and innocent but caused a volcano of heat to pour into my nether region. I put my hand on his chest as I pushed back and saw his eyes closed. It was a sweet reaction and I smiled. He opened his yellow golden eyes and grinned.

"I need a stiff drink, how about you," he asked and I shrugged. He poured himself a large glass of whiskey and a glass of wine for me.

 I thanked him as I sat on one of his couches.

"I have pack members that come during the day to clean, cook and what not

Normally it's a young pup named Jay, so don't be alarmed or harm him. He's got some difficulty associating with the others so I took him under my wing," he said solemnly and I nodded, thinking he was a very kind man. I sat the wine glass down and inhaled deeply.

"I need my blood, I'll be back," I mumbled sourly and headed into the kitchen to get a bag. I bit it as I headed back to the living room and Mystrel watched in fascination as my fangs sucked up the substance. He looked confused and I chuckled.

"They are like tiny straws. I don't literally drink blood, my fangs just suck it up. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the taste of blood and will drink a glass," I mumbled softly and he grinned slightly and told me thanks for explaining. I smiled back and got comfortable. He had drunk the entire glass and poured himself another.

"Do you want to try my blood," he asked me with hooded eyes. My curiosity was piqued and I nodded my head and told him sure. He leaned back and offered me his huge lap. I didn't know if it was a wise decision or not but I got up and sat across his lap. I could smell the whiskey on his exhales and got to my knees, one leg on either side facing him. I could have drank from his wrist but I was feeling adventurous.

"Tilt your head for me," I asked him and he obliged. I ran my fingers through his shaggy hair to get it out of my way and heard him sigh deeply. I pressed my lips against his flesh and slowly licked against the throbbing vein. I felt him move underneath me and his heart quickened. I opened my mouth and inserted my fangs. Desire unfurled inside of me and I moaned unwillingly. I rubbed my intimate area against him as I tasted his blood. His hands went around my waist and held me still. I closed the holes with a lick of my tongue and turned towards him. Mystrel's eyes were glowing brightly and his hand clasped the back of my head and he pressed his lips to mine in a deep kiss. I felt him run his tongue along the seam. I opened my mouth for his tongue and he swept it inside of my mouth. I moved mine against his and moaned slightly at the unique feeling. We kissed for several minutes as his hands explored my body. I felt him try to unbutton my jeans and growled low, giving him a warning. I wasn't prepared to mate with him. He nibbled down my neck and I leaned my neck back as he continued further down to my breasts. I hadn't even noticed that my shirt was unbuttoned. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he licked and sucked on both my mounds. He worked his way back up to my neck and inhaled deeply.

"Go to your bedroom and lock the door Madeline or I'm going to violate you in every way known to my kind," he growled possessively and looked deep into my green glowing eyes. I swallowed slowly and nodded my head reluctantly.

"I don't want to stop but know it's wise that I do. Thank you for this Mystrel," I said breathlessly and kissed him one last time before rushing quickly up the stairs. I heard the inhuman growl below and locked the door. My heart was pounding in my chest but not from fear.
