Lovely

I dragged lucy to the kitchen, away from Jennifer, who had gotten into one of her moods. Lucy smiled apologetically to me, and I smiled back. When Jennifer is in one of her moods, it was best to stay away. So me and lucy just chatted as Jennifer was on her hands and knees in the other room. She told me how her parents were always so comforting when she messed up. She was playing with her hair cutely as she spoke, emphasizing how innocent she seemed to be.

 It was fascinating to watch her come out of her shell. I felt bad for her as we helped her move in, as she only had a few boxes of things to her name. I could tell she felt a bit ashamed of this fact, so I let her know she had free reign to use our stuff in the house. Jennifer didn't like that I told her that, but I knew that I had to be the one to help bring Lucy out of her shell. Jennifer would be happy if she stayed in her room whenever she was done working,
