Divorce Papers

When she came to her senses, Ashley quickly grabbed her ID card on the seat.

As she touched the marriage certificates, she unconsciously opened them and saw her name.

The other name next to hers was Levi! That was the driver of Stone Group's young master. She had truly gotten marriage certificates with him!

Ashley looked at the two names side by side in utter shock. She had only meant to sleep with him once, but he must have gotten the idea she wanted this for the rest of her life.

Regretful, Ashley wrapped a strand of hair around her finger, wishing she could slap herself.

"Is Levi out of his mind?" Staring at the marriage certificates, Ashley continued , "But you also pushed him into this" she shrugged 

"Anyway, this isn't all his fault. I said something at the Civil Affairs Bureau have made him think I wanted this. But I don't have the right state of mind to get married or the confidence to make a relationship work. I don't know what to do to get other people's trust in me.." she continued 

"Sorry, Levi", she thought.

She quickly put her ID card in her pocket but didn't dare to touch the two certificates beside it again.

Realizing the car was parked on an overpass, she looked out of the window and saw the man's back. The sun slowly rose, covering his tall and strong figure, as if he had a special light around him.

She took a pause to look at him closely, imprinting his figure in her mind.

Without any hesitation, she opened the door and got out of the car. Then she made her way through the crowd and other vehicles, quickly disappearing in the distance.

Since the overpass was congested with cars and angry people, naturally, one noticed that the tall and fragile girl had gone and where she went 

Afterward, Ashley went straight to the airport, where she bought an air ticket and flew to the United States.

Immediately the plane took off, Ashley took a deep breath and said "Carrivile goodbye. I would come back very strong"

The first thing she did once she arrived there was to draft a divorce agreement and a commission for the attorney who would take care of it. Then she sent the papers to her best friend and asked her to forward them to Levi of Stone Group.

She didn't think she could handle a marriage or any kind of relationship now and refused to restrain Levi with the marriage. As long as he signed the divorce agreement and submitted it, everything would be fine.

Such a short marriage could be treated as if it never happened to him.

She then looked around to see what she can be doing to sustain herself to gain a footstool I'm the United States because she doesn't want to be traced by those she has left behind.

But she does not know what fate holds in stock for us both in the present and in the future 

However, four months later, Ashley found herself pregnant. Everything had happened so quickly after her escape, she calls it an escape (because she has left the claws of her father and her doubting fiance); that she hadn't considered taking a morning-after pill. At the time, Ashley hadn't thought she would have a baby.

Because of what happened to her while growing up, she had always been scared of given birth and also of being a mother. She felt she would never be a good one.

And also there was nothing on ground to sustain the baby when it comes. It is very difficult for her to take care of herself lest another extra mouth.

Since her period wasn't regular, and she had chronic gastritis, she didn't pay much attention to her symptoms. She thought all the discomfort she felt was caused by her stomach disease.

Once Ashley got the examination report, her pretty face fell, and her heart turned into a mess.

She closed her eyes then, and suddenly her mind was filled with little images of Levi's face calling out "mommy" she immediately shut out the images and emptied her mind.

As she opened her eyes again, Ashley reread the examination report carefully and confirmed she was indeed pregnant.

How could a woman unable to maintain a relationship get along well with a child?

Ashley's eyelashes fluttered weakly as she thought about what to do. Clenching her hands, she finally decided that the best solution was to have an abortion.

"I'm sorry ma'am, you can't have an abortion" the consulting doctor said to Ashley when she decided to abort the baby

"Why" she asked sadly as the thoughts of birthing the baby dawned on her.

"The baby is already a few months old, and it has already developed up to the size of a baby to be born. We can't operate you anymore" 

"So ma'am you can't have the abortion. I'm sorry, Miss Ashley,it's impossible"

"Besides, you're expecting twins. Are you sure that's what you want to do?"

"What of their father. Are you sure that the step you're about to take is in the best interest of the babies father and the babies themselves."

"Their father" she zoned out "He left me to be with another woman." It was as if her heart sank at her statement 

Ashley thought that since she has already sent the divorce papers, Levi has signed them and has got married to another person. That's was why she was able to give that explanation about him.

These were twins. Was she really considering killing them?

Ashley closed her beautiful eyes, trying to hide her sadness every time she had to hear those kinds of responses.

A few months later, in a hospital in the United States, As8 entered the delivery room.

By the time she opened her weak eyes, she met the doctor's regretful gaze as he said, "Miss Ashley, one of the children hear was not beating well. We've done our best, but.."

A mix of joy and sadness took over Ashley's heart. She had never felt so torn in her life.
