For a second, I was trying so hard to understand what was happening and what in the world Ethan was trying to say but when I glanced behind me and my eyes met the eyes that were filled with mist and a different kind of pain, I knew instantly that I had fallen into Ethan’s trap.

I tried pushing Ethan off me but he held on firmly to me.

“Get the heck off me, Ethan” I slapped his chest but despite everything that I did in an attempt to get him off me, he held on firmly to me.

“It isn’t what you think and leave me alone”

Like the cue that he needed to finally let go, Ethan released his hands around my waist while I attempted to reach my hands for Nicholas but instead, he retracted his step backward.

“No, please no” Nicholas muttered under his breath and the pain that his voice held caused every part of me to crumble.
