"Who...owns this?" I asked Gabriel, who was staring back at me. He walked towards the bed and dropped the three boxes he had on the bed. his eyes were fixed on the small box I had thrown on the floor. My body began to shake, and I could feel myself dissociating.

I took two steps back, and my leg hit the bed stand, causing my ass to land on the bed. Tears streamed down my cheeks, what is going on? What is this exact necklace doing here? What are the odds? Did Gabriel get me the same necklace that I gave my late bestfriend Remi when she was about to leave Texas for Switzerland? I had told her not to take the necklace off her neck until I joined her.

I made her show me that necklace whenever we Facetimed, and she would proudly shove it on my face on camera, letting me know that she would never take it off her neck.
