Klaus's mind had been elsewhere ever since the lecture started. All he did was stare at the board with his arms folded and his tongue rolling in his mouth.

He wasn't in school for the class anyway; he just wanted to see Bunnie.

His face looked a bit stressed-he hadn't been able to sleep the night before. His mind was consumed by the fact that he had hurt Morticia and her words from last night lingered painfully.

"Seven years," he mumbled. He had doubted her when she said it, but reading the diary made his head spin with anger at himself. How could he have been so stupid to hurt her? Not once, not twice, but so many times.

Even with that b!tch, Dimitri, who tried to hurt her.

"If I were in her place, I would have killed me a long time ago."

"But she could have told me," he mumbled again. Tell him?

Oh, Klaus, you know who you are. His subconscious whispered.

But he wouldn't have rejected her like he had with other girls, right? Bunnie wasn't just any other girl. She was special to him

Vincent's voice was barely audible, enough only to reach the two figures, who had sensed his presence and stopped.Sienna jerked away from President Peter's hold and draped the sheet to cover her nakedness, gaze locked on Vincent, who was struggling to breathe as tears ran freely down his face."Vi...nce," she stuttered, shaking her head. "Vince... I can explain."Vincent didn't seem to hear her. His mind was trying to process what he had done wrong to deserve such a sight-the woman he cherished more than his own existence betraying him so cruelly by cheating on him.The janitor's words echoed in his head.'The CEO is dating a woman he visits once in a while when he's in the country. She mostly covers her face, but I caught a glimpse of it... and that woman looks exactly like the one who visited you two days ago.'Vincent had thought Mr. Will was mistaken, but when Sienna lied about being at home while her location said otherwise, he knew something was up.He prayed he was wrong. Morticia laughed at Klaus's jokes about her childhood in the kitchen, as he reminded her of the time she wanted to be a dancer, thinking that since Vincent had the talent, she did too.She recalled standing in front of the whole family, including her father, and announcing that she wanted to perform. They all tried to hold their laughter, except Klaus, who laughed as if there was no tomorrow. Morticia got upset and started chasing him around the house."I hate you," Morticia muttered as she chopped vegetables."What are you wearing for Vincent's show tomorrow?" Klaus asked, changing the topic."Hmm... it's a surprise," she whispered playfully."The one that's going to show off the shape of your ass and its curves. Please don't wear that," he said, and Morticia gasped, glancing at the entrance to make sure her mother wasn't there, before glaring at Klaus."Are you insane?" she shot him a look."Kind of," he shrugged."Well, that's what I'm going to wear," she decided to play along.Kla

Vincent was still dressed in his black suit, stained with a little blood, his head lowered as if asleep. But Klaus knew he was just trying to bottle up his feelings.Who would have thought? The girl he was so proud of, the girl he talked about every day, had betrayed him like this."My baby," Ava's voice croaked.Vincent didn't lift his head. His voice was hoarse. "Please leave. I want to be alone."Morticia began to sob, her heart breaking at the sight of him. She had never seen him like this before... and to think the show he'd been looking forward to for so long was now ruined.Even his career was in jeopardy, with people online lashing out without knowing the real story.Klaus clenched his jaw; he had an idea he didn't like but knew he had no choice. "Thank you," Sienna said to the doctor, watching them leave before turning to Peter, who was now awake."That bastard," Peter cursed, his voice muffled by the bandages on his broken nose and jaw. Talking hurt, even breathing was a struggle."Sorry dear," Sienna said with a sweet smile, reaching to hold his hand"Didn't I ask you to tell him about us, to tell him that you love me and not him? Instead, you insisted on letting it be after his dumb show... now look at me," Peter complained.Sienna slowly held his face, her touch warm, making Peter melt under her gaze."I'm sorry... Will you punish me for being such a little bad girl, then?" she smirked.Peter finally smiled. He pulled her close and squeezed her ass. "I can't wait to have you as my wife."Sienna chuckled, but deep down, she was afraid of what Vincent might do to her. Vincent was dangerous, after all."I want your protection," she requested adorably."Are you scared that bastard will come after you? Don't worry, my love. I'

Hastily, Rhea went to block their way, her eyes still wide."Are you guys serious right now? Are you really going to break her leg?"Valerie and Morticia glanced at each other, then looked back at Rhea. They both shrugged."Why not?" they mumbled in unison. Rhea's jaw dropped. No wonder these two were roommates. Morticia might look like an innocent, fragile girl, but she was far from it when it came to defending her loved ones."You can't do that. How are you just going to meet Sienna out of nowhere and break her legs? Since her relationship with Peter is trending online, she must have guards around her for protection. You can't just go in and break her legs."Valerie sighed. "Maybe we should deal with those guards too.""No," Rhea cut in. "What I'm saying is, we should deal with her in another way without resorting to violence."Morticia shut her eyes briefly. "I feel like squeezing the life out of her for making my brother cry. She is such a bitch... if we can find out where she is

At the engagement venue, the place was filled with elegant, wealthy people, exuding an aura of opulence. Sienna stood beautifully beside Peter, who was dressed in an expensive suit. His nose was covered with a small bandage, as he hadn't fully recovered."I heard a rumor that the dancer, Vincent, claimed you two were in a relationship. Someone even said you cheated on him with the President here... that's absurd," a middle-aged woman said to Sienna, causing her smile to falter. She had always avoided being seen with Vincent to prevent this kind of talk."Don't mind the rumors," Peter said, pulling Sienna close by the waist, gazing at her with affection. "That bastard Vincent just has a mental disorder. I'm glad I finally swept him out of the industry.""Oh... poor young man. He was so talented; my daughter loved him. Who would have thought he was unstable? There's no way Sienna would have been involved with someone like that. So violent," the woman chuckled, and Sienna finally managed

The next morning, Vincent's things were packed and ready. He loaded them into his car, with Ava by his side, having insisted on escorting him.Nica, secretly watching them leave around the corner, held back her tears. Where was he going? Would he be back soon? She was already missing him-so much.Morticia bit her lip, trying to hold back her tears. Why was she about to cry when her annoying, overprotective brother was leaving? She sighed, waving as his car pulled away. She stood there for a moment before heading back inside, only to meet Klaus's gaze."Oh... You're still here?" Morticia stuttered. It had been a while since she'd spoken with Klaus privately. Though she wondered how he was doing, she hadn't asked."Nah, I'm heading out," Klaus replied, brushing past her. Morticia swallowed, watching him leave. Clearing her throat, she went back inside, feeling a sense of emptiness. As Klaus got to his apartment, he received a call from Josephine. "So, how's Klaus?" Rhea asked Morticia as they spent time together."I..." Morticia sighed, taking a deep breath. "I don't know.""What do you mean?" Rhea asked."We haven't talked," Morticia replied. It had been more than a week since Josephine's death, and the last time she saw Klaus was at the funeral. He left before the ceremony was over. She had searched for him at his apartment the next day, but found no sign of him either. The only place remaining was Mr. Finn's mansion, here in Washington.Rhea sighed. "I hope he's okay then. What about your mother?""She's watching movies more than she can handle. She's trying to distract herself. My brother is taking care of her," Morticia croaked. Everything felt as though it was falling apart since Josephine's death.Rhea reached out to hold her hand, giving her an assuring squeeze."Everything will be fine, okay? Perhaps he's just trying to get himself together and doesn't want to hurt you," Rhea said."That's what Vincent said. He said h

Morticia staggered backward, her head spinning at the scene. Oh heavens! This should be a dream!Josephine can't be dead. This was surreal. The doctor mentioned she was responding, and her chance of survival was slowly rising. How could she have died just forty minutes before her last surgery?Klaus was unconscious, lying on the bed. Finn had hurt his head pretty badly, and the nurse was treating him.Wait. Ava.Morticia spun around, her eyes scanning the hall with no sign of her mother."Mom?" she panicked."She's in the ward at the end of the hall," Katie responded."What!""She passed out after hearing the news of her death."Morticia spun, rushing toward the ward. There, on the bed, Ava had an oxygen mask on her face, unconscious."She will be fine, miss. She just went through a shock and will wake up tomorrow morning," the nurse assured.Morticia burst into loud cries, sliding to the floor, her fingers tangling in her hair as she pulled it in frustration. It was too much! "Klaus, you have to try this," she said, bouncing with excitement as they stopped before the game Dance Upon Revolution.Klaus crossed his arms, towering over the machine with a skeptical look. "You really expect me to jump around on that thing?""Yes! It's fun!" Morticia grinned, pointing at the screen. "The goal is simple: step on the arrows as they light up to match the rhythm of the song. Easy.""That's literally jumping, not dancing," Klaus muttered, his brow furrowing."It's not about looking cool; it's about not falling off the platform."Klaus huffed, stepping onto the platform reluctantly. Morticia joined him on the second pad, cracking her knuckles like a seasoned pro."Let's start with an easy song," she said, scrolling through the menu. She picked a cheerful, mid-tempo tune. The music began, and the arrows on the screen started scrolling upward in time with the beat. Morticia's feet moved fluidly, hitting each step with precision. Klaus, meanwhile, hesitated, stomping awkw

SURGERY 1 SUCCESSFUL...Klaus couldn't stop smiling as Morticia chattered animatedly around him. His Bunnie could talk all day, and he loved every moment of it. Her presence was everything. The first surgery for his mother had been a success, but there were still two more to go. The next surgery was in twelve hours, and Josephine would be unconscious until all three procedures were completed.Klaus leaned in and placed a swift kiss on Morticia's lips, playfully silencing her. "That's enough," he whispered, his voice hoarse."I... I haven't told you how he got to won the competition yet!" "A bonus?" She gasped. "How did you know?""Because we watched the movie together," he chuckled, and Morticia blinked at him with wide eyes."How come you're telling me this now, just as I'm about to finish telling you about the entire movie?""I just love listening to your voice," he replied softly, capturing her lips in a gentle kiss as she settled on top of him, his fingers caressing her back.T

As they continue hugging, the door creaked open silently, revealing Vincent, whose gaze landed on them. The scene stirred something deep inside him as he silently watched. He decided not to disturb them. Exhaling, he closed the door softly and stepped away from the room. He met his mother's worried look. "They're fine. Morticia is taking care of him," Vincent smiled and walked away before she could reply. Ava's mouth hung open; it seemed Vincent knew what was going on between Klaus and Morticia. Light sobs caught her attention, and she traced the sound to find Evie crying silently in an empty ward room. Spotting Ava, Evie quickly wiped her tears and greeted her. "Hi." Ava let out a small smile. "Are you okay?" Evie stayed silent for a moment before shaking her head. "No, I'm not. But I will be once she's awake." Ava nodded and sat beside her. "She's the strongest woman I know. She's going to make it." Evie nodded, wiping the tears that fell freely down her cheeks. "Thanks a lo

However, day by day passed with neither of them contacting each other. He wasn't unscathed either. The surgery was scaring the hell out of him. He just had to act strong for her."I've been waiting for this moment, Klaus," Josephine started after they both stared at the sea for a long while."Me too." Klaus looked at her calm face. Klaus woke up late the next day, his eyes fluttering open to a slightly familiar room.Slowly, he sat up, meeting Vincent's blank gaze from the corner of the room. He glanced around but saw no sign of Morticia."She's home with my mother," Vincent clarified, sensing Klaus's confusion. "So Ava won't suspect anything and make Josephine worry.""Oh," Klaus muttered, and a long silence settled between them."How is she?"
