Chapter 26 –  Waiting For The Boyfriend

(Frank’s POV)

“Any news?”

Sky asked as he got out of his private office and glanced at his wristwatch and then at Catherine’s clean table. Not a fan of extended overtime, she had already left an hour ago.

I stood up, taking my bag and car key from the table. “Mr. Park’s secretary called, and she said he’s okay with the meeting moved to the afternoon,” I told him.

The chairman of the Mars Group of Companies, the man I considered my best friend, chuckled amusingly at me. He tapped my shoulder.

“I wasn’t asking about work, Frank. Your work was supposed to be over an hour ago, and I thought you’re still here because you’re waiting for Lexi,” he said, pursing his lips, and the way he looked at me, he was hoping it was really what I was trying to do.

Disappointed, I shook my head. “Nah! They left early because Aliyah’s going out of the hospital today, and Lexa has to go to work,” I said and made a face.
