Jaxon’s head turned rapidly when he heard Mia say, “I want to return to Aurelia.”

Both of them were on the bed with their bodies hugging each other, and Mia’s words had just relieved Jaxon, so he pulled her closer.

“Have you thought about this? I don’t want there to be a series of fight once we get back,” he explained, receiving a light pinch on the waist. Of course, he pretended to wince because it didn’t hurt.

Mia nodded slowly while her fingers played on Jaxon’s bare chest, making him feel amused and slowly getting rid of her hand by holding it tightly.

“I… don’t want us to fight like this.”

Hearing this, Jaxon felt like he wanted to smile, but he held back because the timing wasn’t right. He felt as if a huge weight had been lifted from his chest. What a relief.

From behind her eyelashes, Mia looked at the man sleeping right beside her.
