After multiple knocks, my mother finally opened the door. I was fuming with anger and I didn’t want to say anything disrespectful, so I just walked past her and went straight to the living room.

Ethan stood up and reached for me as he saw me coming. “What happened there?” He asked with a worried expression registered on his face.
