Chapter 5 It's Him !!

I stayed frozen in my place while looking at Derek. It’s him!! The new boss and the man that I had my one-night stand with.

He smirked, giving me goosebumps.

F**k, he recognized me!

As I was at a loss for it, all the other employees started secretly looking between us and murmuring with curious faces.

“Why is she staring at the boss like this? Do they know each other?.” A woman’s eyes stared at me in disgust.

“Huh, focus on the show she is giving to the Boss.” A male colleague whispered in a low voice, his eyes going to my chest.

And as I looked down I realized that I am showing a bit of cleavage.

From Derek’s position, he could clearly see my bosoms hanging out to him.

F**king Amazing…

Immediately, I straightened my clothes.

“Miss…” Derek raised his eyebrows triumphantly as his eyes wandered to my chest before they stopped at my Badge, “Hood”

Then he stood back straight while looking at me with a playful smile and dropped some words that were enough to kill my work.

“You really impressed me by the way you welcomed me.”

I closed my eyes in frustration. God, kidding me? Am I going to be fired on my first day?

“Excuse me, Boss. This is Miss Hood, the new designer for the company…” I didn’t even know when Miss Wilson came to me. She helped me up and started to introduce me to

everyone.

“It’s her first day at our company, with a lot of things to learn. I apologize to you for her rashness.”

I gave her a grateful and guilty look and blurted “Sorry” in a low voice. And the voice of Derek raised again

“New designer? Welcome, Miss Hood…”

It wasn’t a welcome but an alarm.

As I look at the boss now, he looked at me with indifference, as if it was just our first meeting. I cooperated and thanked him with fake gratitude.

“Thank you, Boss…”

He ignored my gratitude and coldly walked past me to inspect other employees. Each employee did their best to impress the Boss while I sat at the desk with my head

lowered.

It was still difficult to accept the fact that I slept with my boss.

If someone would know about this, I am going to be kicked out of my job but before someone would start this gossip I am having a bad feeling that Derek himself is going to

fire me.

He might be thinking that I am here to grab his attention again.

After all, the last time also it was me who approached him while he showed no interest from the beginning.

Remembering the time in the bar, my hand subconsciously went to my collar. I hope he hasn’t seen the marks made by him.

Just as I pulled the collar upwards nervously looking around, I accidentally caught the eyes of Derek, for a fraction his eyes narrowed at my actions and then with a small lift of

his lips he looked away.

And my breath caught in my throat.

Is he mocking me?

DING

The elevator door opened and closed, indicating the departure of the boss and I let out a breath of relief.

“Thank God.”

“Huh, look who’s remembering God now?” One of the women from the desk laughed sarcastically and I scoffed in response.

“What? Weren’t you trying to grab the attention of the boss just now?” She craned her

neck at my desk and raised a brow.

Before I could reply to her, the other woman pulled her chair and came near my desk.

“Yes, what a fool you make yourself today. On the first day, you were greedy for a

promotion, huh…”

“Hey girl, we’ve been working here for the last three years, you are not here for even

three hours, so just stop dreaming of climbing big…”

A third woman joined them in insulting me and my patience seemed to run over.

“First of all, I never asked for all of your opinions.

Secondly, even if I want success, I will get it with my capability and work, before you all.

And third, I am here for work not to climb on anyone, and why don’t all of you look down at yourself before giving me your unneeded monologue.”

The words came out too bluntly even when I didn't mean them to be that much blunt.

After all, no matter what, I am the junior here and they are seniors.

They all gritted their teeth in anger and I tried my best to not give them any more

reason to target me.

“Finally, you arrived…” I sighed in relief as I hugged Elle.

Finally, a familiar face.

From Elle’s face, I could tell she knew nothing about what happened before nor did I think this is the correct time to reveal my one-night stand man, Derek Shepherd.

Elle took me to my department, which was on the fourth floor. She introduced me to the group of people with whom I will be working now.

In the first few hours, I started to set up my things, my files, and the rest.

I was so focused on my computer screen that I didn’t notice a paper thrown at me until my colleague pointed it out.

“Amy, what’s this?” I picked it up and opened the crumpled paper to see the drawing of a woman on her knees with half tits on the show and the man staring at them wide-

eyed.

There was also a caption, which said “Climb On Me, Boss”

Gritting my teeth, I curled the ball and turned to the women who were smirking evilly.

Those three were from HR, the same to whom I answered back.

Angrily, I stood from my place to teach them a lesson, when I heard the mocking laughter from behind me.

“Oh My God, is this Amy?”

More people joined to see the drawing adding to my humiliation, they labeled me as a woman desperate to climb into the Boss's bed for the promotion.

My blood boils, and my nose flared as I made my way to the three women all ready to spit fire when the elevator dinged and Miss Wilson stepped out.

With her one stare, all laughter died, she stretched her hand and immediately the paper was given to her.

She stared at the drawing and then looked up with a stern face.

“We’re here to work, not for this nonsense… Do you all understand?” Her eyes then fell on the three women from HR and she looked displeased.

“Why are you all here? Aren’t you interested in keeping your jobs, huh?”

In an instant, all three women fled away and then only Miss Wilson approached me.

“Miss Hood, I told you before that I appreciate the hard work, not this nonsense.” her voice was stern.

“It was them who started this, Ma’am.”

I sounded like a child and Miss Wilson rolled her eyes at my complaining, “Miss Hood, if you really want to earn your respect, then work hard instead of complaining. If they’re

blaming you about something you’re not then prove them wrong.”

And with that, she handed me a file.

“The Olsein Project, this is the design we have been working on, but the Boss didn’t seem satisfied with the work. As the new designer of our company, I would like to see

your work on this. Don’t disappoint me, Miss Hood.”

Clutching the file tightly in my hand, I nodded my head determined, “I won’t, Ma’am.”

Thankfully with the Olsein Project in my head, I was back on track, forgetting about everything that happened today. I got myself deeply engrossed in work and didn’t

realize that it was time to leave.

RING … RING

The phone on my desk rang for the very first time since I arrived, I picked it up, and Miss Wilson’s voice came, cold and plain, “Miss Hood, Boss Derek wanted to see you in his

office.”

My mouth went agape at her words.

Derek wanted to see me in his office?

Why?

Am I going to get fired?
