I headed out the door to the car with my mind on our return. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous. I couldn’t see a lot of changes taking place but there would be change. I had to stop worrying about it but with all of our bags in the back of the car, we were ready to go. It didn’t matter if I was ready, it was happening.

I’d helped Jake and Viktor this morning after our last meal here. I was already missing the fresh mountain air and freedom I felt up here. When we arrived everything was uncertain and my life felt as if it were falling apart. Now that I’m leaving it feels like everything is in its place.

Mentally, I wrote a list of what I needed to focus on when we got back. I’d need to join in on the runs, possibly reach out to Clara, and tell Jamie about us. As Gamma, she would be around us more and I’d rather tell her than her find out.
