After discovering her true heritage and finding out she is a Lycan, eighteen year old Charlie leaves her mate behind and joins Alpha Zach's pack in the hope of reuniting with her long lost mother Sophia. The only problem is Charlie is also mated to Alpha Zach and he is not quite ready to give up on her when Alpha Max reappears in her life. Will Charlie move on with Alpha Zach or will she return to the life she had with Alpha Max. This book can read as stand alone, do check out Book 1 <My Alpha> if you're enjoying it!!
View MoreIt was the hardest decision I had ever made when deciding to reject Max but I couldn’t leave without doing so and staying there was to much, especially now Alexander was dead.
I knew the distance between us would be to hard on both of us and would probably drive us insane. I love him and it was for the best that I let him go.
As the car starts and pulls away, I cannot help but watch him out the back window, his body drops to the floor and Kiwi rushes to his side. With the car continuing to move down the driveway, Max’s figure becomes smaller and smaller until he is completely out of sight and I turn around, trying to relax into the seat.
“He will be okay” Alpha Zach keeps his eyes in front of him
“Did I make the right decision?”
Alpha Zach continues to look forward “That is your decision and yours alone my Queen”
I frown “Why do you call me that, why do say I am your Queen?”
“Kayden, stop the car”
The driver pulls over immediately and Alpha Zach turns to face me, his dark eyes tracing over my face
“Because you are the Lycan Queen”
“No, I am not, I am just an eighteen year old with this stupid power” I summon a small ball of mist and juggle it, but this power was how I had killed my father
“My Queen, that is exactly why you are Queen”
I frown at him, still not understanding
“Only females that are first born lead the Lycans”
“You’re being serious?”
A smirk appears on his face, “Oh my dear Queen, you know very little about your heritage”
“I can’t carry children” I blurt the information out and he looks at me stunned, his dark eyes trying to read me
“Of course you can, your maternal grandmother was our Queen and now you and in the future, your grandchild”
I shake my head and show him the scar from my operation, when it healed it had left a permanent reminder and Max had said it was because my wolf was not present at the time.
Alpha Zach traces over the red scar with a single finger, the warmth of his skin sending a strange feeling through me, the same sensation I felt with Max and Alexander. Trying to keep my face unreadable, I drop my sweatshirt but he keeps his hand against my stomach and a small smile spreads across his face.
“You will have a pup, one day”
I fall quiet, I honestly had no idea how to respond and I didn’t have anything to say to the Alpha sat next to me.
Alpha Zach summons Kayden and we start moving again, the car quiet as we continue to travel and I sit, looking out the window, trying to block out everything i was leaving behind.
Eventually we pull up to a small airport and as soon as the car stops, I climb out leaving Kayden with an expression of horror whilst a grin spreads across Alpha Zach’s face.
“What is it?” I stare at both of them and then frantically start checking myself, was something on me?
“The Queen normally waits until her door is opened for her”
“I have already told you, stop calling me Queen, my name is Charlie”
“If that is what you want then I will call you Queen Charlie”
“No Queen, just Charlie. Please”
He nods his head, but I couldn’t understand what the problem was with calling me Charlie, everyone else had done so. There was also no way I was going to be Queen as far as I was concerned I was just going with Alpha Zach so that I could meet my mother after all this time and then, well I didn't exactly have a plan.
The plane was a private one, I’m not sure what I was expecting but I had never been on an aeroplane let alone a private one. Kayden hops up the steps with my small suitcase and the large suitcase of Alpha Zach, but I couldn’t move and stay at the bottom of the steps.
“Is there something wrong Charlie?” he finally speaks my name as I requested and I shake my head, yet my feet still don’t move
“It really is okay, we travel all the time” he holds a hand out for me “Come” but I stay rooted to the spot
“Did I do the right thing?” I needed him to confirm my decision, I needed to know if leaving Max behind was the right thing to do
Alpha Zach steps back down “Only you can decide if it’s the right thing, do you feel any pain?”
I shake my head
“Do you want to go back to him?”
I shake my head again “I want to see Sophia”
He holds his hand out again and this time I take it, the touch comes with the same warm tingles and I know he can feel it too as he leads me up the steps and into the cabin. He guides me to a seat and tells me to sit down, pulling the belt around me as he explains that the flight would last for a few hours and how he had made sure there was plenty of films for me to watch. Nodding, I watch as he sits in another seat at the other end of the cabin talking quietly with Kayden.
Playing around with the seat I find a tv screen that comes out of the arm of the chair with some headphones, the men don’t say anything so I carry on and find something to watch as the plane takes off.
At some point he walks pass me and comes back with a glass of water but before he gives it to me, he leans down and kisses me on the cheek, not the thing I was expecting, taking the glass from his hands, he stands and heads back over to Kayden.
As he sits, his dark eyes are on me, an odd twinkle in his eye and a small curve to his lips, he knew exactly what he was doing whilst I can’t help run my fingers over my cheek.

She was awake and we stay laid on our backs, turning our heads to face each other, her eyes were red and black, the grey colour long gone but I didn’t care, she was here with me and she could hear and see me.“How do you feel?”I didn’t tell her that she had no magic anymore, I wanted to make sure she understood what had happened. I wanted her to know that Zach was definitely dead.“The magic is gone isn’t it?” she whispers quietly“How do you know?”“I can feel it, or lack of it. The constant bubbling has gone”Charlie had never described it in that way before and I wondered if that was what had been causing the panic attacks, the constant feeling of something inside of her. She hadn’t had an attack since she had been with me or maybe Zach had somehow causing them with his magic, so he could kiss her and make her think only he could make her feel better.I wipe t
As I kneel by Charlie I stare around in shock. He was dead, he was really dead. Zach’s bloodied limbs were scattered all around and I kick his head away from Charlie and I. I didn’t want to see him, any of him. The battle with him was finally over. After everything I did, everything Charlie had done, it had taken the hybrids to collectively work together to bring him down. Charlie was free, we were all free.I could hear her heartbeat fine and I check her neck, I wanted to see if his mark was still there. It was fading before my eyes and I hear Matthew gasp next to me.“Their marks, they are fading” he breathes a sigh of relief. He couldn’t believe it, he looked all over Alice’s legs and feet just in case he had missed it but just like Charlie’s, hers was gone and so was Eva’s.“Why are they not moving?” I try not to sound franticHe shakes his head at me “I don’t know,
Everyone was oddly calm including Charlie. Everyone except myself.Charlie had just told us the news we had been waiting for and i could not understand how everyone was so calm.Could Zach have known this was going to happen? Could he have planned for Charlie and her sisters to all be in place? It seemed impossible and yet possible at the same time. Zach had kept many secrets from everyone, and they were slowly unravelling but on his terms and we needed to change that.“I will meet him” Matthew suggests, and I shake my head. The last thing we needed Zach knowing is that we had the first hybrid in existence in my pack.“No, I will wait in the forest for him. I need you to watch over Charlie”He frowns at me, telling me that it was too risky for me to go out there in my state. With Jett back I was feeling stronger than ever. I may not look it, but I felt great.“It should be me” Charlie pipes up from
A couple of days had passed, and Charlie trained with Matthew every second she could, even when he told her to rest, she wouldn’t, or she couldn’t sit still. She was determined to succeed. He trained her mentally and physically but would not tell me what was involved. She had accepted her role as mine and the packs Luna, it was the only way for everyone to communicate with her, particularly Matthew and she needed all the help he could offer. Her sisters had not restored her hearing or sight yet because they needed to be certain that Charlie could hold the block and at the moment it was Jett and me. Her skills were growing massively but her mind still felt weak.Charlie was now able to move through the forest alone and without making a single sound, her feet touching the ground in silence as she moved. It was like she had tuned into nature, she even made it from the pack house to the training area alone yesterday and that is not an easy walk. Matthew
“It is not going to be easy”Matthew tries to warn me, but I had already thought about that and tell him just as much“And I am not even sure that it is possible for a wolf to do succeed in what I have achieved with Alice”Again, I nod my head, I understood what he was trying to say to me. It was his way of explaining that it might fail but if I do not try then we will never know.“You will get one option Alpha Max. You have to get into her head quicker than him, almost barricade her mind from his”“When and how?”“When she starts waking. At the moment she is unconscious. He can’t get in her mind whilst she is out of it, the wolfsbane in her system is too strong. The moment she starts waking will be your chance and your only chance. It will take all of your energy Alpha and if it fails, there will be no second chance!”We watch Charlie and her body does not move except
Hey everyone, I hope you are all well and I want to thank you so much for reading up until now, I really appreciate it and it keeps me motivated to write. However I just wanted to let you all know that I will be taking a few days off due to unforeseen personal problems but I promise not to keep you all waiting to long, the end is near and I hope you will all be happy with how the story ends after all the sadness that Max and Charlie have suffered. Take care and I will try and get back as soon as possible x Taylor West
I just sit and watch her. Pain is etched on Charlie’s face as she fights to keep the block up. People come and go, mostly to speak to me or Anna but I wasn’t interested. I just wanted to find a way to help Charlie break from his grasp on her.Matthew comes to find me at one point, but he frowns when he sees Charlie “What is she doing?”“She is blocking Zach”He stands by me and watches her like I do“Why are you here Matthew?”“I did come to speak to you, but now I am interested in why she is suddenly able to block him”“Alexander spurred her on”“Your deceased brother?”“That’s the one”Matthew does not speak he just nods his head with a surprised look on his face.“What did you want to speak to me about?”“I would like to offer my services”“You are already helping&rdq
She walks silently alongside me her fingers laced with my own. She doesn’t stumble or trip in the forest like she knows where she is going, but her fear was unmistakable. It exuded from her and even when I ask her she just tells me that everything is fine, but it wasn’t. Not only could I sense it coming from her, but I also felt her fear too and it wasn’t me that she was afraid of.I find myself stood in front of the packhouse, not the place I was expecting to be and I must have stopped abruptly because Charlie asks me what’s happening.“We are at the pack house?!”I wasn’t questioning Charlie, I was questioning myself, I thought we were further away than this and closer to the hospital.Charlie frowns at me “They built you a new packhouse?”“They did”She reaches her hand out and I guide her forward a little. As she holds her hand against the door she smiles but doesn’t
