DENZEL’S POV:-

Standing in the balcony of my room, I could visibly see the struggling girl, trying too hard to win her competition, I assume.

How foolishly she was training, not caring the sweat rolling down, breathless, probably exhausted too yet giving her best.

“Hmph, pathetic,”

Curling my lips in a smirk with my hands behind my back, I continued to stare at my so-called mate, watching her practice.

I was stuck in a dilemma of what I should do. She had no idea who or what we were, dragging her into this would be wrong.

She had a life ahead of her after all.

“So she is your mate?”

Breaking the trail of my thoughts, Gizelle came, wrapping her hands around my strong arm with a mischievous smirk.

“Yes. An eighteen year old human who probably has no idea about us,” I sighed in disappointment.

Shifting my hand to place it on her shoulder and keep her right near my chest.

She belonged right here after all as I inclined my head against hers.

“Looks innocent,”

“Hmm,”
