Zack’s POV

“You ordered the murder of her mother,” I said with a grin. “This was all you.”

“Are you mad? Placing blame on me that you know very well I did not do.”

At that moment I knew he had forgotten about what he had done.

“You, father made me kill a woman a few years ago. What was her name? Oh yes, Susan Deen. It turns out that the innocent woman I was sent to kill is actually Kayla’s mother. That Kayla is the woman I’m actively housing in this palace.”

The man stared at me in shock. He was speechless and didn’t even know what to do. His argument faded in the background as I settled into a chair, watching him pace and talk about so many things that didn’t relate to the case at hand.

“Here we go again,” I muttered while listening to him ranting.
