Davina’s POVI kept crying and holding on to him for a whole hour maybe. At some point during that time, he moved us to a more comfortable position. We were sitting at the edge of the bed and next thing I know, we were both in the middle of the bed with his back leaning against his headboard and my body held tightly in his arms.I clutched him and held on to him tightly as I cried my heart out for my mom. Davina’s POVI continued to flip through the journals, reading a page here and there. There was a consistency throughout them all. Many pages were stained where his tears fell on the ink and smudged it. Especially the ones where he talks about us and my mother. Wondering how we were doing and what we looked like over the years. He also wrote a lot about Jude. About his relationship with his father, which never seemed to improve a lot as the years passed. He wrote that despite all that, Jude was a good person. Cold, heartless maybe, but not evil. He was sure that when the time came, Jude would protect me somehow.
