Chapter Fifteen

Lydia

My eyes painfully fluttered open and the first thing I noticed was the blinding lights above my head.

I didn't need anyone to tell me I was at the hospital because you still remember perfectly what happened and how I ended up here. Although I don't know how long I've been unconscious, I'm pretty sure it's been a few days since, and I wasn't feeling as much pain as I was the day it all happened.

I let out a frustrated sigh when a thought suddenly occurred to me. I've only been in the Alpha's palace for about three weeks and in such a short time, I've already been admitted to the hospital twice.

I honestly didn't know how to feel about it. I certainly couldn't be happy that things were going so badly for me, but at the same time, I had no intentions of wanting to leave. Something in me still felt like this place was going to get better for me, and I could only hold out until my instinct proved themselves.
