Chapter 62: The Mistake She Made

I suddenly woke up from being asleep, my forehead covered with sweat. I just had a bad dream. A dream that I don't want to happen again in reality. I took a deep breath and stared at my side.

There was a pain in my heart when I saw his face. The man's face in my dream. I gritted my teeth as I rose from lying beside him. James woke up from being asleep, and then he furrowed his brows.

“Emerald?” I gritted my teeth because of how he called my name. “Is there something wrong?”

I couldn't stop washing my face with my hands as I felt annoyed after I realized the mistake I made. I was supposed not to allow him to touch me. James should not be here beside me. We shouldn't be f*cking, but why?

Why did I allow James to fool me again? Why am I being so weak again?

‘Don't say that, Emerald. Nothing's wrong with you. It's just that, you can't deny the fact that your body still wanted him,’ Lilian spoke at the back of my head.
