Chapter 17: The Bastard Visitor

“You won't believe who's here!”

“Oh, I heard that. I actually saw him earlier!”

“I still can't believe that he was actually here in our pack. Alpha Gideon let him come here.”

My heartbeat raced when I heard these words from the group of wolves I met on the way. They stopped talking when they noticed my presence that made my brows furrowed.

I shook my head and continued walking. Alpha Gideon has a visitor and based on how the wolves described him, I know the visitor is not ordinary. He was powerful and important, and it's no longer my concern.

I have no right to know who that visitor is and as long as my son and I are safe, that's all that matters to me the most.

“I felt something unusual with that visitor thing, Emerald,” Lilian uttered.

I stopped walking, my heart pounding so fast again. Lilian's instinct is strong. If she said something is wrong, there might be a possibility that it's true. I also could feel it just the way those wolves described the visitor.
