James gazed at me, his brows were furrowed. I waited for his response, hoping that he would deny what Vivian had told me, but I was wrong.

“Yes, it's true, but that was after you left here. She offered herself to me, and it only happened once, Emerald,” James responded with honesty.

I bit my lower lips, nodding my head in response to him. My head turned at the dead body of Vivian while taking out a deep breath.

“We should be extra careful next time to those that we trust. We didn't know they were attacking us from behind,” I muttered, still not looking at James.

James let out a deep breath. He tried touching me, but I moved away before he could reach me. I am still disappointed with what happened earlier.

“Are you mad?” James asked me.

I lifted my head, taking a deep breath before I responded to him.

“We have so many things to do for now knowing that we just got back in the pack. I have to wait for our son at the border,” I responded to him and started walking away.
