Ellis. I couldn't help but stare. Alpha Williams was the spitting image of his father. I immediately stood to excuse them. " Remain." Alpha William said and I looked at him, baffled. " I don't think it is wise for a human to be here when we are discussing pack matters." the man said, a bit angry. " I don't care what you think, father. Ellis will be Luna in three days. It's best you start getting used to her being a part of this pack." Alpha William said, and I felt very awkward. "A human cannot understand wolf matters. I understand you are in love son, but you cannot let your emotions drive your judgment." the man said. " I thought we had discussed this already?" Alpha William asked and then stood up. " I have respected you despite all that you did to me. Despite the way, you humiliated me. Even though you tried to control me. But you are now crossing a line. I am not just your son, I am your Alpha. I have humoured you a couple of times by discussing pack matters with you but I w
Ellis. The day had finally come. I had slept in my old room to avert the bad luck myth. I wasn't going to see William until during the wedding. I believe it was safe to call him by his name alone, now that we were getting married. I dreaded something happening to stop the wedding. Most of the wolves did not hide their feelings about our union but they were too scared to voice out their opinions. I looked at the mirror and saw a stranger. My hair was now brunette and I now had brown eyes. Although the hair and eyes looked good on me, I missed my original features. I wondered when I will ever be able to wear my natural colours again. I had chosen a simple backless lace-covered gown that had a moderate train for the wedding. The ceremony was to take place in the Estate's garden. I felt nervous all the way. Susan and Patrick had come to the wedding. Susan, Mirabel and Vicky were in my room helping me get ready. " Ellis, who knew you would find love here?" Susan asked, excited about t
William I didn't know how best to impress my wife. I wasn't the romantic type. I had never been in love before and I never needed to try when it came to women. Being with Ellis was different. I was learning how to do things the human way. I paid for a resort about five hours drive from the estate. It wasn't much but it was the best option. knowing that Jasper was after her, I didn't want to take any risks. I intended to spend a week there and then go to the pack settlement itself. Ellis was no longer a slave it was only fair I let her go about within reason so she doesn't fall into Jasper's hands. As I drove the jeep, Ellis looked out the window with a big grin. "Have you ever travelled by road before?" I asked out of curiosity and to my surprise, she shook her head. " We never left the town," she confessed and I was shocked. There was so much to see out there and I knew her father wasn't always broke. Why would he keep his daughter confined to a town all her life? " Why was tha
Ellis William was sweet. He pampered me for three days straight. I had never been so well cared for in my entire life. We made love and we watched movies together. When we got bored we would stroll within the resort to take in the scenery. William was teaching me how to swim and I loved the three lessons I had gotten so far all of which ended up with lovemaking in the pool. We just couldn't get enough of each other. It was as if we should remain there forever. I was having the time of my life. The day I found out I was to be a slave was the worst day of my life, but being with William now had made all of that pain fade into nothingness. Although I was enjoying our honeymoon, I knew we would soon visit his pack settlement. l wasn't looking forward to it. I wished we could skip that part altogether, but William had said it was necessary because I was their Luna and It was my duty to lead the pack too and support him. Knowing I was just human, I knew there wasn't much that I could do.
Ellis. I managed to drag William's body to the living area and get him on the couch. I was dizzy and weak by the time I was through. I wept bitterly. I was afraid to leave him alone and go outside to check. I was afraid that the vampires will come to finish their job. I sat with him with my eyes open all through the night wondering what to do. Out of fear, I kissed him passionately hoping that would wake him up. I knew this wasn't a fairy tale but I wasn't thinking straight anymore. I had run mad with fear. I few seconds after I kissed him, I began to feel nauseous. I finally threw up. It was everything I ate with some traces of blue. I flushed it and ran to stay with William. I wept until daybreak. The only thing that gave me hope was the fact that William was breathing. I used a wet towel to clean his body and I used the alcohol to clean his wounds. No one came to check on us in the morning. I knew then that the vampires had killed them all. I felt horrible. Maybe we shouldn't
Ellis I didn't know how to convince the old man that the note was fake and this Jasper Wild was trying to lure me to himself. " I don't know this man," I protested in tears. All I wanted at that moment was to be by my husband's side as he battled the venom in his system. " Please let me see my husband. I want to be there." I pleaded, afraid to think of what William might be going through. He had been in treatment for three days with no sign of hope. "Do you think I am stupid enough to let you near my son?" he asked. "I am his wife. I deserve to be by his side" I complained and he smiled. " You see, Ellis, this is not a human setting. Here, you are still nothing. A wolf only has a mate when he marks her, he cannot mark and bond with you, therefore, you are nothing to him. He has tried to force the idea of you being Luna and other wolves followed out of fear but based on our custom, you are nothing here." he said a
Ellis William stood over me with sadness in his eyes. There was a bit of anger in them, but I was glad to see him. I wanted to jump up and hold him, but the IV lines constrained me. The lines were what made me realise that I was in the hospital. " You need to relax, Ellis. They are still evacuating venom from your system." William said, stroking my hair. I could see the fear in his eyes, but I was glad he was alive. " Venom?" I managed to ask. My throat was dry and raspy. " Yes, darling. The doctor found venom in your system. It's a wonder that you are still alive." he said with surprise. I wasn't listening to him all I could think of was how grateful I was that he was alive. I wa
Ellis. Three weeks after a lot of medical tests and resting, everything finally went back to normal. The doctor said he needed to do some intensive research to see how he could use my blood as a cure for vampire venom. I knew it was far fetched, but I allowed it. As the luna of the White moon pack, I was determined to do everything within my power to make the pack stronger. When we visited the pack settlement, the majority of the pack members showed their hatred towards me. They didn't like the idea of having a human luna. They claimed I would be a distraction and liability to William. Remembering what happened at the resort made what they insinuated not far from the truth. Most of them whispered their opinions, but those of them that were bold enough to disrespect me were dealt with accordingly. Making an example of the disrespectful pack members made the other's fall in line. When we left the settlement, I became even more determined to prove them wrong on every level. Being human
