Chapter 77

Author: Autumn Rain
Dylan examined Bella and frowned.

“Is it bad?” Delia asked worriedly.

“It’s nothing major. She just has to rest. She’ll be fine after that. Don’t let her get into any stressful situations,” Dylan said. “I’ll write you a prescription. After you get the medicine, remember to make sure your sister takes it on time every day. Make sure that the dosage is right. You cannot make any mistakes with it.”

Delia read the prescription.

“You really are one of the best physicians. The usual physician wouldn’t dare prescribe these two medicines together. If the dosage is a little off, the patient might die. Those who would dare make such a prescription are either useless or are as great and skilled as you are.” She smiled and praised Dylan.

Dylan was shocked when he heard that.

“You understand medicine?”

Delia smiled.

“Honestly, I’m an intermediate grade physician. The Medical Sage was once my teacher.”

Dylan’s face darkened when he heard that.

“Why is the student of the Medical S

Dustin said it loudly, so everyone heard it. Dylan’s face darkened as he scowled at Dustin. Delia looked at him in surprise and confusion. Why was Dustin siding with the Medical Sage? “The audacity! You have no right to talk about this!” Dylan’s assistant snapped and went over to Dustin. “You’re not welcome here! Leave!” He then tried to push Dustin and Simone out. Dustin glared at him. Bam! The assistant was flung back and fell beside Dylan and Delia and fainted. “You rude brat!” Dylan flew into a rage and slammed his hand against the table. He then threatened Dustin. “I’ve been a physician for years and have treated plenty of powerful people before! All of them feel grateful to me! You have no right to cause trouble in my clinic!” “Dustin, do you still think you’re in the Wyatt family, and you can do whatever you want here?” Delia asked with a sneer. “What do you think you’ll get by siding with the Medical Sage? Does he even know you? You’re insignificant. You can

“I can’t do it, Dustin. I know nothing about medicine!” Simone quickly shook her head. She was worried about Dustin losing. “Don’t worry. As long as you do what I say, you’ll be fine,” said Dustin reassuringly. Delia was furious. Dustin was asking a complete amateur to compete against her, an intermediate physician?! This was an insult! “If you lose, you have to crawl out of here like a dog!” she demanded viciously. “Sure,” Dustin said. While everyone watched, Dustin and Dylan each took a pill. “Delia, get three grams each of graminae, red wormroot, and morning glory leaves. Grind them into powder and dissolve them in warm water. Then, let me drink it,” Dylan said. That was the type of task even an intern could do easily, let alone an intermediate grade physician. “I’ll do it right away,” Delia said confidently. “Do you know how to cure the poison, boy?” Dylan looked at Dustin in amusement Dustin just smiled and did not reply. This minor poison was nothing and

“Stop!” When Dustin was about to walk out of the clinic, Dylan called out to him. “What? Unwilling to admit defeat?” asked Dustin as he turned around. “Of course not!” Dylan cried out. “You were just getting rid of poison! You can’t test any skill through that! Besides, I suspect that you already have the antidote. How else could you get rid of poison by just drinking warm water? It doesn’t make sense! That poison isn’t something that you can cure through warm water! You must have taken the antidote in secret!” Quite a number of people agreed with Dylan. After all, getting rid of poison through warm water was a little too far-fetched. Delia technically also gave Dylan some warm water, so why was he not cured of his poison? It did not make sense. “Dustin, you tricked us. If you have the guts, compete against Dr. Parker again! I refuse to believe that you have any knowledge about medicine! Prove it to me!” Delia cried out as well. “Who the hell do you think you are? Why

With that said, he picked five pills from the box. The crowd was shocked. “When physicians prepare their medicine, they’re very careful with it. Normal people will only dare to give one pill to their patients at a time, and they have to make sure that the dosage is absolutely correct too, but the good ones can give their patients multiple pills by customizing them. The more skilled you are, the more pills you can prepare for your patient at once. Someone at Dr. Parker’s level can give his patient five pills at once. There are only a handful of people in all of Lovellia who can do this!” Delia said loudly as if she shared in his glory. The crowd praised Dylan. Dustin smiled and said nothing. Dylan fed all five pills to Bella at once. She trembled as if she had regained her sanity. Delia was excited. “Dr. Parker, you’re amazing! With just five pills, Bella is about to recover!” she said in praise of Dylan, but right after she spoke, Bella suddenly trembled and started fo

After Dustin fed the nine pills to Bella, she immediately reacted. Dustin had caused Bell’s insanity. He had poisoned Bella, which was why when Dylan fed her the pills, it did not work and had instead worsened her condition. Dustin mostly used the same ingredients that Dylan had, but the effects were vastly different. Bella did not spasm, but her eyes gradually regained their clarity. “Where am I? Why am I here?” She looked around in a daze. “He cured her!” the crowd exclaimed. The famous physician, Dylan, had been unable to do anything about Bella, but Dustin had managed to cure her. A top grade physician could not even compare to a young man. Dylan’s face darkened. Dustin had cured Bella. This time, even if Dylan wanted to deny it, he could not. The witnesses here had seen for themselves all that had happened. It was really hard for him to accept the fact that he had lost. Delia was stunned. When she finally pieced everything together, she looked conflicted.

“That was the bet she made herself. I didn’t force her,” Dustin said indifferently. “If she loses, then she has to fulfill the conditions of her bet. That is the rule.” Delia gritted her teeth and felt cornered. Apologizing to Dustin felt worse than death itself. Everyone was watching her, and she could not back out of the situation. She tried to appear pitiful and cast a pleading look at the crowd. Her sorrowful gaze tugged at the hearts of many. Who would bear to see such a beautiful woman humiliated? “That’s enough! Why are you getting so hung up over this with a woman? There’s no need for it,” someone said. “That’s right. A man should be generous. There’s no need to be so hung up over this. You’ll just look petty.” Delia looked pleased. She wanted to use the public to pressure Dustin and make him a target of their scorn. “If you made a bet, then you have to be willing to fulfill the condition of that bet even if you lose!” Dustin said coldly and looked at the

“Bella, don’t tell Amara about how Dustin humiliated me.” On the way back to the Wyatt family villa, Delia pleaded with Bella. “Why not? That b*stard dared to make you apologize to him! That’s even more of a reason to tell Amara. She’ll take care of him.” Bella did not understand why Delia did not want to do that. “Amara will scold me if she finds out that I apologized to Dustin!” Delia sighed. Amara was in charge of the Wyatt family’s affairs. She did not tolerate anyone staining the Wyatt family’s reputation. “That piece of trash! One day, I’ll make him beg for forgiveness. He has to repay me a thousand times over!” Delia said viciously. Bella was silent. Delia had only gone to the clinic to treat Bella’s condition. She would not have been humiliated by Dustin if it were not for that. After a moment, Bella said solemnly, “Don’t worry, Delia. I’ll get you justice for this! That awful Dustin is nothing but a dog of the Wyatt family. He’s so bold now that it’s only a

“The entire crew will be catering to you, Miss Bella. You have the last say in any decision when it comes to casting changes.” Bella’s smile grew wider. She would have the last say… Camille was dear to Dustin. Bella would make sure that she suffered. With her temper, giving Camille the role of an extra was already very merciful on her part. Ideas on how to humiliate Camille flashed through her mind. “That brat looks decent enough. But she’s deluding herself if she thinks she can be the lead!” said Bella in disdain. Suddenly, her face changed. “Delia, is the Zimmer family still on the Wyatt family’s case?” Bella asked Delia. “Yes. It’s like the Zimmer family has gone nuts. These few days, the company has been suffering great losses. If this goes on, both sides will head for mutual destruction!” Delia sighed dejectedly. The Wyatt sisters looked stormy when the incident was brought up. Amara frowned as well. The issue bothered her greatly. “I might have an idea…” Be

“Who do you think you are to try and get justice for that b*tch? You overestimate yourself!” Ashlyn yelled. “Men, arrest him! Gouge his eyes out and feed them to the dogs! Cut off his hands and feet!” she ordered the Jepperd family’s men. “You blind piece of shit! How dare you call me a witch? I’ll make you blind for real!” A group of the Jepperd family’s men rushed over at Ashlyn’s order. They looked vicious. Ashlyn sneered as if she could already see Dustin beaten. Dustin snickered. No one could fight him and win so easily! “Get him!” With a cry, a bunch of people attacked Dustin. Suddenly, several gunshots rang out. Before the Jepperd family’s men could get close to Dustin, they were mowed down. The sudden bursts of gunfire turned the party into chaos, and people screamed. Ashlyn was frightened. “You’re done for! You’re dead! You’re going to be dead several times over!” Ashlyn shrieked. “Do you think you can scare the Jepperd family with a few measl

“My Liege, we found a possible candidate based on Gus Mabry’s description. That person is Arno Jepperd!” Drake reported to Dustin. “Arno’s location is unknown at the moment, but I found something. Wilhelm Proud has a daughter who is studying at Hattan University. Her name is Patricia Proud. She was targeted by a daughter of the Jepperd family, Ashlyn Jepperd, after Wilhelm’s death. Ashlyn is currently holding the girl captive. “Ashlyn has a visual impairment condition in both eyes. She cruelly removed Patricia’s eyes for her own use. She also disfigured Patricia…” When Dustin heard that, his expression darkened. Wilhelm had died because of Dustin’s own sister, Diana. How could he possibly allow Wilhelm’s daughter to suffer this way? “Where is Ashlyn now?” Dustin asked icily. “She is in a high-class establishment celebrating her birthday.”“Get the car.” … Ashlyn’s birthday was a huge event because she was a member of an affluent family in Hattan. Ashlyn loved throw

Otto had originally thought that a guard, even if skilled in martial arts, would not be much of a challenge. He did not think the guard was worth his attention. But this surprised him. The strong force and powerful pure energy from the guard’s palm made Otto step back in shock. At the very least, the guard’s strength was equal to his own. “A guard who is a Martial Saint?” Otto could not believe it. He was shocked. Even the most powerful martial groups in Lovellia would not have a Martial Saint as a guard. Where did that useless Dustin find someone like this? Otto could not believe it and was struggling to accept it. “Who are you? Why are you stuck doing this job?” Otto demanded. A Martial Saint should not be reduced to being a guard. “How much did that useless Dustin pay you to lower yourself like this? The Fawkes family can offer you three times as much!” he angrily said. But as soon as the guard heard this, he got furious. “How dare you insult Mr. Fox! You’ve

Outside the fancy villa, Otto stood with a dark expression. Marissa pushed Otto hard, so he had to swallow his pride and ask Dustin to return to the Fawkes family. Dustin had agreed at first, but he still had not left. The pressure from Marissa made Otto anxious, so he had to come here every day to urge Dustin to go to Central Harbor. However, Dustin ignored him. The gate was locked, and Dustin had not even bothered to see him. It made Otto furious. As the head butler of the Fawkes family, he held a high position. Only Marissa had the authority to order him around. He did not even have to listen to other family members. He had never been disrespected like this before. Otto’s hatred for Dustin grew stronger. He had come here several times in the past few days, but each time, he was turned away. He could barely contain his anger. “Get Mr. Fox out here now! Or I won’t be so nice!” Otto said coldly to the guard. What kind of world was this? Even a lowly guard dared to t

“You’ve been in Hattan long enough. It’s time to go back to Central Harbor and claim what’s yours,” Otto said. “What if I don’t want to go back?” Dustin asked coldly. “Please take this call first.” Otto pulled out his phone, dialed a number, and handed it to Dustin. Dustin frowned. “Hello?” he said cautiously. “Dustin,” a woman said from the other end. Dustin’s face instantly darkened. He recognized the voice right away. It was the woman who, after the patriarch of the Fawkes family died, immediately turned on him and kicked him out of the family. She was Russell’s wife and the matriarch of the Fawkes family! “Dustin, you should come back,” Marissa said. Dustin sneered. “So, it’s you. What’s this? You couldn’t wait to kick me out of Central Harbor, and now you want me back?” Surprisingly, Marissa did not get angry. “You may not be a Fawkes by blood, but the will is clear. You have a rightful share. It belongs to you, and it’s time for you to claim it.” Her

At the family dinner, the Langley family completely focused on Dustin. Everyone was careful around him and tried to win his favor by complimenting him. Simone did not enjoy the meal. She wondered what would happen when Dustin’s true identity was revealed. When that happened, Dustin would face pressure from both the Fawkes and Langley families. The more Dustin was praised, the more Simone felt worried. She was afraid that, when the time came, she might not be able to help him. After dinner, Alvern and the rest of the family personally saw Dustin and Simone out. They only went back inside after they had left. While driving home, Simone suddenly asked, “What will you do in the future?” “What?” Dustin asked in confusion. “You’re the adopted son of the Fawkes family. What will happen if that gets exposed? “You’ve made enemies with so many people and upset powerful families all over the province. Without the Fawkes family’s protection, how will you survive?” Simone was

“Let’s go inside.” Simone noticed Dustin was uncomfortable. She took his arm and led him in. As soon as they entered the living room, everyone stood up when they saw Dustin. “Have a seat,” Alvern said with a smile. He pulled out the chair at the head of the table and signaled for Dustin to sit. That seat was usually reserved for Alvern. Not long ago, Dustin did not even have a seat here, but this time, everyone was trying to get him to sit in the most important spot. “I don’t want to sit there.” Dustin took Simone’s hand and simply chose two other seats. “Wherever you want to sit is fine,” Alvern said with a smile and motioned for everyone to sit down. The family dinner began. But no one started eating until Dustin did. They all stared at him, and the atmosphere felt awkward. “Dustin, eat up,” said Simone and broke the silence as she put some food on his plate. Only then did Dustin start eating. When they saw this, the Langley family smiled and finally started eat

Birds chirped outside the window, and warm sunlight shone on Dustin’s face. He rubbed his eyes and slowly woke up. His head still felt a bit heavy from drinking too much last night. He sat up and checked his phone. It was already quite late. “Who brought me back here yesterday? Was it Devina?” He patted his forehead. He got out of bed and opened the door. From the kitchen, he heard the sound of a spatula hitting a pan. Looking over, he saw Simone wearing an apron and cooking. That was unusual. Simone did not like cooking, and her skills were not great. But ever since Dustin moved into her house, she had started learning to cook. Unfortunately, that meant he often had to taste her cooking. Seeing her in the kitchen, he could not help but feel a little nervous. “You’re up?” Simone looked at Dustin when she heard the noise. “Go wash up first, then drink the milk on the table. Breakfast will be ready soon,” Simone said. Dustin felt a bit conflicted. She was

When Gus heard this, his expression changed, but he quickly regained his composure. “Mr. Fox, I don’t know who Wilhelm Proud is, and I have no connection to him,” he said calmly. Dustin was displeased. He knew Drake’s information was accurate. Gus was pretending to be clueless. “I’ll ask you again. Are you sure you don’t know him?” His voice became more forceful. “Mr. Fox, I wouldn’t lie to you. I really don’t know him.” Gus refused to admit it. “Alright.” Dustin nodded flatly. Then, he grabbed Gus’s shoulder and forced him down. Bam! Gus fell to his knees, and the tiles beneath him cracked. His face showed his pain, his pale lips trembled, and he almost passed out. He had thought Dustin was just an arrogant, rich heir. He figured if he denied knowing Wilhelm, he could get away with it. He never expected Dustin to deal with him so quickly. The bar was completely silent. No one expected Dustin to hurt Gus so suddenly. Raiden and the others watched from a dist
