Lucas was huge.

"What happened? You look scared, little wolf," he said, making me raise my head to look him in the eyes.

"I-I-I don't think this is going to work," I breathed out, pulling myself to sit up. "I haven't done it with anyone and you're... like this."

He smirked and once again picked me up in his arms. "Don't worry, I'll be slow and careful not to hurt you."

He carried me to the bed, and after placing me softly on the mattress, he climbed on top of me. Both of us were naked; no piece of fabric separated us, and I could feel his erection on my stomach. I tried looking away, but he grabbed my chin and moved my face so that we were staring into each other's eyes.

He licked his lips and then slowly rubbed them against mine. The action sent electricity throughout my body, and I grabbed his arms, trying to rub my waist against him like before. He smirked and once again came down for my lips. I reached forward, but he pulled away.

"I thought you didn't want this," he teased, shifting his cock so that it is pressing against my opening. "Now, what happened?"

"I reached forward only for a kiss, nothing else." I said without stuttering this time, and he looked impressed.

"Someone got their voice back," he commented, pulling his hand down to rub his tip against my slits.

I was about to open my mouth to say something when he came down and got hold of my lips. I whimpered, and he pushed his tongue inside my mouth. I held onto his shoulder and thought I could control it, but when he rubbed his erection against my clit, it became impossible for me to hold back my moans.

I pulled away from the kiss, moaning loudly, followed by heavy breathing.

He kissed me on the cheek before leaning to the right to pick up a packet of condoms from the nightstand. He tore the packet with his teeth and then rolled it down his cock. I watched him, waiting in anticipation.

"I'm going to put it inside slowly," he informed, rubbing the tip all around the inner lip. "Tell me to stop, and I'll stop, okay?"

"Okay," I nodded my head, letting my desire take over the region of my brain responsible for reasoning.

"You're soaking again," he smiled, and I looked away, embarrassed for some reason. "Well, that will make this much easier."

It didn't.

His tip pressed against the entrance, and I took a deep breath. He looked me in the eyes to make sure I was fine before slowly pushing inside me. I felt his length sliding in, rubbing against my insides, pushing away to make space for itself.

"Fuck! God, Lucas!" I moaned, grabbing my breasts and squeezing them tight.

"Don't wrap your legs around me yet, little wolf," he kissed me on the neck. "I won't have enough space. We need to do it slowly for now."

I bit my lips and nodded, arching my back. He wrapped one of his hands around my back while pushing deeper inside. I tried to control my legs, but they kept wrapping around his waist whenever I felt the sensation of him sliding deeper. I curled my toes, and my head was thrown back, eyes shut.

"FUCK!" I groaned when it hurt a little.

"You're doing amazing, little wolf," he whispered, making me moan louder. I opened my eyes to look at him, but they rolled back as he went deeper inside. "I'm going to stay for a while before moving."

I nodded my head and questioned, "A-are you all in?"

He chuckled, "Not even half, but it's okay. You won't be able to handle all of me; it's your first time."

He pushed my hand away from my breast and buried his face into my cleavage. The movement caused me to scream, and that's when I realized what he meant by me not being able to handle his entire length. He grabbed one of the buds between his fingers while sucking on the other, making me feel all sorts of sensations.

He didn't say anything; he just smiled whenever I called his name and gave equal attention to both buds.

After around two minutes, he turned a little and said, "I'm going to move; it will hurt a little at the start, so be prepared for that. However, tell me to stop if you can't handle it."

I nodded again, and he moved back. My toes were curled once again, and I screamed his name. He was gentle with his thrusts and kept whispering reassuring words in my ears, but the pain didn't go away. His words did nothing, and I wanted him to stop, but I held on for the pleasure that was to come after.

Camilia had shared the story about her first time, so I knew the pain was not for nothing. I remembered her telling me that she didn't even remember the pain anymore, only the pleasure of having someone inside her.

Tears rolled down my eyes when he started thrusting harder. He kept spreading kisses around my neck and whispering things in my ears, but I wasn't able to hear anything. My ears were ringing, and I dug my nails into his back when it felt as though he was hitting my lungs with his cock.

It became hard for me to breathe.

"Lucas!" I moaned his name again when he landed a hard thrust.

This time it felt different; it burned differently. A different sensation spread throughout my body.

"D-do you... god... do you want me to stop?" he stuttered, his voice raspy and full of pleasure.

I shook my head and focused on my breathing. He kissed me all over my lips, cheeks, neck, ears, forehead, corners of my eyes, arms, and shoulders. The pain was fading away, and the foreign sensation kept forcing me to let out strange noises.

His jaw was clenched in concentration, and his eyes were closed as he reached the climax.

"Fuck!" he groaned and started to slow down with his thrusts. He moaned and gave me some slow but powerful individual thrusts that had me calling his name again and again.

He fell on top of me and hid his face in the crook of my neck. He breathed heavily against my skin, so I wrapped my arms around him and started rubbing his back affectionately. His heart was beating loudly enough for me to feel it against my chest.

He landed several kisses on my jaw before sitting up and pulling out of me. I flinched at the sudden action and started feeling empty when he was out. He pulled the condom off and, after tying it, placed it back in the packet.

"Are you okay?" he inquired, a little worried as he looked into my eyes.

"I'm okay," I lied, pressing my thighs together to dull the ache.

He was drenched in sweat, making him look like he was sparkling.

I smiled at him, kissing the back of his palm. He chuckled and planted a quick peck on my lips before getting off the bed and stretching his arm. He was still semi-hard, and all I wanted was to reach forward to grab him. However, much to my disappointment, he picked up his briefs and put them on.

"The bedsheet is covered in blood; let me carry you to the other bedroom," he said, sitting on the bed, next to where I was lying.

"Of course, there is another bedroom," I rolled my eyes and tried to get up, but he stopped me. "I have to get dressed."

"Or you can stay like this," he traced his finger over my breast. "I won't mind sleeping next to a beautiful naked girl."

"What if I want to sleep next to a handsome naked guy?" I raised my brows in question.

"Fair!" he stood up and got rid of his briefs. "Now?"

I extended my hand toward him, after taking my time to check him out. He was a little embarrassed but said nothing. He smiled and picked me up in his arms, carrying me to the other room through the entrance hall. The hotel room was like a house in itself. I never knew there were hotel rooms like that.

The new bedroom was bigger than the previous one, and it looked like the one he was staying in. There were clothes thrown on the couch and I also noticed a MacBook on a wooden desk by the wall opposite the bed.

He pulled down the covers with his left foot before softly putting me on the bed. I laughed, shaking my head at him. He rolled his eyes at me like I had done before and climbed next to me. I pulled the covers while he used the remote on the nightstand to shut all the lights.

"Good night," I put my head against his muscular chest, feeling tired.

He yawned. "Night, Kat."

Three Days Later, “Miss Katherine! We’re going to be there in five.” The old chauffeur said, glancing at me through the rearview mirror. I gave him a weak smile when our eyes met, but it quickly faded as soon as he turned his attention back to the road. I sighed, trying to quell the nervous flutters in my stomach. My fingers fiddled with the hem of my shirt, and I looked out the window, trying to absorb the new environment. Washington was much greener and wetter than the dry town where I spent my teenage years. The lush trees lined both sides of the winding road, their leaves glistening under the soft drizzle that had begun to fall. The air was cool and smelled of pine, a stark contrast to the dry, sun-baked earth I was used to. I’d always dreamed of visiting a place like that, but now that I was here, all I could feel was dread. My heart pounded against my chest as the feeling of unease consumed me. I was moving in with seven stepbrothers, none of whom I had ever met, and w

“Little sister!” I thought about the word and repeated it in my head, but it never felt authentic. It was weird listening to him call me ‘little sister’ when we were not siblings. While it was true that our parents got married, I never gave much thought to that new relationship. Frankly, I didn't know if I wanted to because I wasn't blood-related to them. The whole idea of being part of a family I barely knew still felt foreign. “Yeah, that’s Katherine,” Dev replied, his tone carrying a hint of amusement. He then turned towards me and added, “And this lazy guy over here is Neel.” Neel sat up, rubbing his brown eyes before offering me a lopsided grin. “Welcome to the madhouse, Kat. Can I call you Kat?” “Y-yeah,” I said hesitantly, feeling a bit awkward under his sleepy gaze. “Relax, we’re not murderers here—well, apart from Ian.” “Neel,” Dev warned, glaring at his brother, who looked exactly like him. They had the same facial structure, height, complexion, and eye colour.

“You guys know each other?” Leo questioned, looking between the two of us, unaware of the storm raging in my heart. The moment Lucas' eyes met mine, something unspoken passed between us—a flicker of recognition that sent a jolt through my entire body. The memory of that night came rushing back, the way he had made me feel both exhilarated and terrified at the same time. I never imagined I’d see him again, much less in my new home, as my stepbrother. For a few agonizing seconds, we just stared at each other, both too stunned to speak. His expression shifted from confusion to something darker, his gaze narrowing as if he were trying to piece together the situation. “What happened? Are you guys going to answer me?” Leo's voice cut through the tension, oblivious to the atmosphere between us. He tilted his head, eyes darting between Lucas and me. Lucas recovered first, masking whatever thoughts were running through his mind with a charming smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. “Yeah

“What do you think of me, Leo?” Lucas asked, narrowing his eyes at his brother. Leo, still comfortably perched on Caspian’s lap, shrugged nonchalantly. Lucas clenched his jaw and said, “I don’t flirt with every girl I see.”“That’s hard to believe,” Neel commented, entering the room from what I assumed was the kitchen. I could see a kitchen island behind him, though everything else was hidden behind a wall separating the two rooms.“Then don't believe.” “What were you doing in the kitchen?” Caspian asked, absently scratching Leo’s head like a caring mother. The chauffeur wasn’t kidding when he said the other brothers treat Leo like a king. “I told you not to have snacks before dinner.”Neel rolled his eyes and took a seat on the armchair in front of the fireplace. “I just had a single cookie. I was starving.”“Because you skipped lunch. How many times do I have to tell you to eat lunch?” Dev shook his head, making me feel even more uncomfortable sitting there.“Skipping meals is not

My eyes widened at the revelation. Caspian nodded, a small smile playing at the corner of his mouth. “Can’t believe they didn't tell you? I thought you knew it all along.” “I didn't,” I admitted, feeling a mixture of surprise and relief.“I thought he was just a businessman, had no idea about St. Louis.” Caspian leaned back on his chair, observing my reaction. “Dad doesn't like to talk about himself much, but I thought your mother would have told you. Anyway, just know, dad has always been more focused on making sure everyone around him is taken care of and now that includes you too.” I couldn't help but feel warmth spread through my chest at his words. “Thank you, all of you for doing so much for a stranger.” “You are not a stranger.” He leaned forward and took my hand on his own. Our eyes locked, and for a moment, the air between us became heavy with something unspoken, something I was too afraid to acknowledge. Every rational thought screamed at me to step away, to put distance between us, but my body refused to obey. I was trapped in the storm brewing behind his eyes, a storm I had no business being in. Harry’s gaze was intense, searching, as if he could see right through me, peeling back the layers I was so carefully constructing to save myself from them. My pulse quickened, each beat echoing in the thick silence, and I became acutely aware of how dangerously close we were. The warmth radiating from his body, the faint scent of his body wash mingling with the deodorant, made it hard to breathe, let alone look away. “What are you staring at?” His voice, low and teasing, snapped me out of my daze. There was an edge to his tone that made the air around us feel charged like something was about to ignite. I gulped, trying to steady the wild flutter in my ch

“Hey, Little Wolf.” The familiar voice sent a shiver down my spine as I grasped the doorknob, hesitating. His usual playful nickname carried a different weight now, layered with the tension from earlier in the evening. Since I skipped dinner, I thought he would assume I was tired and already asleep. “Are you going to let me in?” he asked, his hand resting on the door. He didn’t push it open—just held it, waiting. I took a deep breath, summoning the courage to open the door all the way. He stood on the other side, dressed in a loose shirt and shorts, looking unexpectedly younger in his casual attire. I tried to look but the dim hallway light made it difficult to read his expression. “Lucas, what are you doing here?” I asked, trying to keep my voice steady despite the slight tremor I could hear. He leaned casually against the doorframe, arms crossed over his chest. His gaze swept over me before settling on my eyes. "Don't tell me you forgot about our midnight meeting," he sai

I didn’t want to talk about the Salvatore family with Cami. It was too depressing to have that conversation with her. I didn't want to talk to her about Alaric, or about my mother, not about Derek lying in the hospital while his sons tried to salvage the mess he unknowingly helped create. For once, I just wanted to talk about myself. And—more specifically—I wanted to talk about Caspian.“So, let me get this straight.” Cami’s voice was clear through the speaker, cutting through the quiet of my dimly lit bedroom. “You like Caspian?”I groaned, rolling onto my stomach and burying my face in my pillow for a second before lifting it again. “God, don’t say it like that. I didn't mean it like that. I meant there are things that have happened, and he has done things that made me feel weird.”“Like what? A slow, knowing, chilling smile appeared to scare us. “Why does it look like someone just died?” he mused, his voice was light and easy, but there was something underneath it—something taunting, something dangerous.Nobody answered.I could feel the tension radiating from Caspian beside me, the way Lucas’s fingers tightened around his fork, and the barely restrained scoff from Dev.Alaric didn’t seem to mind the silence. • My 7 Deadly Stepbrothers    TRUTH OVER DINNER

Dinner had never been that quiet. Not in the Salvatore house. The long dining table was filled with plates of steaming food—pasta, grilled chicken, and fresh bread—but no one seemed interested in eating. They were thinking about something, and while their hands moved mechanically I knew they wanted to know what was the important thing Caspian wanted to talk about. He told them that he had something important he wanted to share with them after the dinner. And I guess he shouldn't have shared that much information with the others before because the others were still thinking about it, trying to figure out what it might be. Ian already had a small idea, yet he could feel the tension in the room. As a result, he was very uncomfortable. I could see it in his eyes. The room was dimly lit, with the chandelier above us casting soft, golden light over the strained faces. Unlike other days, even Leo didn't fuss about the food or ask for dessert with the meal. And that's when I realise

I swallowed hard, my throat suddenly dried and felt like sandpaper when I tried to swallow the lump forming in my throat. I wasn’t sure about my own emotions, about what to feel—relief, panic, guilt? Maybe all of them at once, or maybe none. Mom had looked at me when I was coming downstairs to help Dev with the dinner, her expression was unreadable. Yet, I knew what was going on inside her head. She must have been afraid of what kind of person wouldn't be in this situation. I asked her what happened or if she needed help with something, and she simply said, “I don’t care what happens to me. As long as you’re safe, I'm willing to do anything in the world. You might not trust me right now, but believe me, my words are true. And I'm going to show it tomorrow.” I hadn’t known how to respond when she was being that open with her thoughts. I should have said something, anything, but I didn't. “So, when are we going to tell the other about what is going on in the family?” I asked the two brothers who still looked conflicted. “If mom confesses tomorrow, their life will be in danger too. I was sitting at the kitchen island, my fingers were wrapped around the cool ceramic of my untouched water glass. That was the reason I wasn't speaking much because I was afraid my fears and what-ifs would slip out mistakenly in normal conversations. And I knew it would only damper their mood, so I heard them instead and tried to be positive about our little mission. “She's right. At this point I think we need to tell the others,” Dev said, stirring a simmering pot of pasta sauce. “This morning t

The room was much quieter after my mom had left. It had been more than an hour since she was gone. Yet, the heavy air of her decision lingered in the room that surrounded us, entering my brain through my nostrils. I couldn't stop thinking about it because it felt like an invisible force that had a huge surprise for everyone in the house. I still wasn’t sure if I believed her—if I could afford to believe her. I didn't know where I stood with her; sometimes, I had been acting like the best daughter in the world, while other times I felt as if she was my biggest enemy. I couldn't figure out how to act around her. Even though she had agreed to confess and that was ‘something not to look over’ according to Caspian, I couldn't bring myself to trust her completely. I knew I could have trusted her more when she told Derek the truth, but I couldn't help but think it was one of her other elaborate plans. “A woman can get anything if she wants it enough... anything.” Her words from years

However, after Ian disappeared on his birthday, Leo got a little serious about the things around him. “There's a lot more.” The way he said that made me think about what he meant by it. The air outside was cold and comforting, just walking outside through the entrance made me feel much at loose than I had been the whole day. The sky was covered with dark clouds and looked like it was going to rain soon. I was almost waiting for the rain, hoping to see the forest come to live. I was walking beside Caspian. I could feel the tension from the meeting still sitting heavily on Caspian's shoulders. Lucas was following closely behind us, his brows were still furrowed in deep thought, while Dev walked a few steps in front of us with Matthew. As we reached the driveway, Matthew paused.
