Danciana's Point Of View

As I stood there, my heart pounding in my chest, I spotted a guard making his rounds. I knew he held the key to my freedom, or at least a means to communicate with the outside world. I desperately needed a phone to make a call, to let someone know where I was, to save myself from this torment.

I raised my hand and tried to catch the guard's attention, hoping he would acknowledge my silent plea. But he continued on his way, oblivious to my existence. Frustration welled up within me, and I couldn't hold back any longer. "Hey! Excuse me!" I called out, my voice trembling.

The guard halted in his tracks, his eyes scanning the surroundings until they landed on me. Reluctantly, he made his way over to where I stood, his footsteps hesitant and guarded. "What do you want?" he asked, his tone laced with annoyance.
