Chapter 6: Interview

🎙️ Aiden's POV 🎙️

We reached the apartment in a few minutes and we got down from the car

I stood in front of the door and Jason turned to look at me

"Aren't you going in?" He asked

"I need to say my prayers first" I said as I made a cross sign

"Oh Lord please deliver your servant from his nagging girlfriend" I prayed and then took a deep breath

"Let's go in" I said to Jason and he opened the door

"Where the hell have you been!!" Naty yelled as soon as I walked in

I looked at Michael, he looked like someone that's gonna die soon

"You were with that blue-eyed girl right?! You shunned my calls for her!" Naty yelled again

"Calm down Naty" I said calmly

"Don't tell me to calm down!" She yelled "Why were you with her, did you miss her huh?!"

"Miss her?" I scoffed "you should know me well by now Naty, that girl is way below my class, I only met her to convince her to go with me to tomorrow's interview and act as my childhood friend"

"What? Why should she be your childhood friend, am your childhood friend not her!" She yelled again and I sighed

"We'll give you guys some space" Michael said giving me a smirk as he stood up

"Yeah, you guys can talk all you want, we'll give you some privacy" Jason said as he stood up too

"Where are you guys going, you are supposed to help me!"

"I think I've already done a lot of helping that almost cost me my life" Michael said as he went to his room

"I don't interfere in people's relationships" Jason said and also went to his room

Oh Lord, please save me

"I don't want her acting as your childhood friend" Naty said

"I don't want it too Naty but what choice do I have, that's the only way for me to regain my reputation, am doing it for the band Naty"

"Fine fine, after the interview tomorrow, I don't want you talking to her again" she said and I nodded

"So why have you been ignoring my calls?" She asked

"I....well.....I kinda knew what you wanted to say but I wasn't in the mood to hear it" I replied

"Really! I guess you see me as a nagging girlfriend too!!" She yelled

"That's not what I meant Naty"

"Right from the moment we started dating I've always been the one hooked up with this relationship! People tag me as a crazy girlfriend but I don't care because I love you, don't you get it!!" She yelled

"Come on Naty, what are you saying"

"Do you love me?" She asked

"Of course I love you"

"But you aren't acting like someone that loves me Aiden, sometimes I think you don't love me, that this relationship is just one-sided" Naty said with tears in her eyes and I felt bad

"I do love you Naty, don't stress yourself by thinking too hard, have you eaten?" I asked and she shook her head

"I know a good eatery outside the school, let's go there" I said as I wiped her tears and took the car keys

"Let's go" I said and she followed me out

🎙️ Emily's POV 🎙️

I stood in front of the mirror trying to pack my hair in a ponytail since it won't straighten no matter how brush it

"Do you really want to look that good?" Mia asked

I told them about the interview yesterday, both Mia and Lucy and they were against it but I convinced them, I've already told Jason I'll help him, I can't go back on my word now

"Am going on TV after all, do you want me to look bad?" I asked

"I think you look great" Lucy said and I smiled

My phone suddenly rang and I quickly took it

It's Jason!

"Go.....good morning" I stuttered as I picked up the phone

What's wrong with you Emily, get yourself together

"Are you ready? We are outside the girls dorm" Jason said over the phone

"Of course, I'll be there right away" I said and ended the call

"I have to go now" I said as I took my purse

"Take care" Mia said

"Be careful" Lucy said

I quickly ran out of the room and out of the dorm and I saw the music fairies standing in front of a black van but the only person that caught my eyes was my angel, Jason

"Hi" I said with a smile as I walked up to them

"Will you stop smiling foolishly, its uncomfortable" Aiden sneered

"Am not smiling at you so you can stop looking at me if you are uncomfortable" I retorted

"Did you see that guys, she talk so rudely with me" Aiden said and I scoffed

The front door of the van suddenly opened a man came down

"Shut up Aiden, she's doing us a favor so you should by nice" he said and then turned to me "Hi, am Bryan, the manager of music fairies" he said as he brought out his hand for a handshake

"Am Emily" I said as I shook his hand

"Please Emily, this interview is very important for us, so am seriously begging you, when you guys go live in the interview, act like his close friend please" Bryan pleaded

"I'll behave if he behaves" I said pointing at Aiden and I heard him scoff

"Don't worry, I won't mess things up" Aiden said

"Great, let's go then" Bryan said

We got in the car and the driver drove off

"Jason and Michael will be going on stage with both of you cause I don't trust just you too on stage" Bryan said from the front seat

"And before I forget, make sure you guys announce the making of 'Friendship' music video, it will be nice if you guys wrap the interview up with good news" Bryan said and they agreed

The rest of the journey was in silence and my mind kept darting towards the fact that am in a van with the music fairies!!

I'll be going live on TV!!

I look at Jason and he was looking out the window and my heartbeat increased

Why does he have to be so nice and handsome

He always smile so charmingly and it melts my heart

We got to the front of the TV station and the van stopped

I looked through window and I gasped

Like what the fuck!!

It's as if some kind of concert is holding here

There are so many people standing with different banners of music fairies

Wow, this guys are very popular

And to think am together with them now! This is amazing

Bryan looked back at us and gave us a paper

"I went to the hospital few days ago and that's the result of the blood pressure test conducted on me, my blood pressure is skyhigh thanks to you guys but please, don't make it higher than it already is, do whatever you can make this interview a success" he said as he took back his test paper and I smiled

Is their Manager always so dramatic

"Are you ready Emily?" Jason asked and I smiled

I can't help smiling when he looks at me

"Yes" I nodded

"Aiden, you should go out first with Emily then we'll follow you guys from behind" Michael said and Aiden nodded

"Let's go childhood friend" Aiden said with a fake smile and I scoffed

The door of the van opened and Aiden and I stepped down from the van

Crowds of people rushed towards us as soon as we stepped down and the securities sorrounded us as we moved in

Wow this is amazing

I feel like some kind of celebrity right now

"I love you Aiden!!" I heard some people shouting from the crowd and I scoffed

If only they knew how rude he is, they won't love him so much

"The concept is to act as childhood friend dummy so you should smile" Aiden said with a fake smile

"I think childhood enemies would have suit us better, don't you think so rude brat" I retorted

"I actually agree with you on that dummy, now don't do anything to ruin this for me or I won't let you off easily" he said and I scoffed

We walked into the building and a lady walked up to us

"Hi, my name is Laura and I'll be the anchor of today's interview please come with me" the lady said and we all followed her

We got into a large room with two sofas and many cameras around

"Please have a seat, we'll be live in a few minutes, your manager told me to rush things up cause you guys still have some classes today at school" Laura said and they nodded

Aiden sat with me on one of the sofa while Michael and Jason sat on the other

I wish am sitting with Jason right now and not this rude brat

"Mind your expression dummy even though we aren't live yet, they've started taking pictures" Aiden said with a smile and I put up a fake smile too

"The next time you call me dummy here, I'll reveal to everyone that this is all fake" I said still with a smile on my face

"You won't do that dummy, you seem to be a big fan of Jason so am sure you wouldn't want to disappoint him" Aiden said a smirk and I scoffed

"Guys" Jason called quietly and I looked at him

"Don't tell me you guys have already started arguing when the interview haven't even started, you've got to be careful, people are watching" Jason said and I sighed

I'll have to endure this rude brat till the end of the interview, I have to do it for my Jason

"Just don't talk unless I ask you to okay, let me do the talking" Aiden said and I decided to ignore him

The anchor, came in and sat on a chair in front of us

"The cameras are set and we'll be going live now, are you ready?" She asked and we all nodded

She signaled the cameraman to start and we are live now!

"Hi everyone, my name is Laura Mason and am here with the popular band we all love, the music fairies!!" Laura said and Aiden and the others waved

Am I supposed to wave too?

Well it's too late, they've stopped waving now

"Recently they've been some rumors and scandals relating with the music fairies and we are here to address that, Aiden can you introduce the lady sitting beside you to everyone" Laura said

"Hey guys, my name is Aiden and am the vocalist of music fairies and the lady beside me, is Emily, my childhood friend" Aiden said and I quickly put up a smile

"There were some rumors some days ago that you guys aren't actually students of Rochester Musical Academy, what do you have to say on that?" Laura asked

"I think it's quite obvious how absurd that rumor is, we started our Music career in Rochester Musical Academy, so am sure everyone knows that's an absolute lie" Michael said

"But we were also told that you guys never attend classes"

"I don't know who came up with that ridiculous news but just like Michael said, it's an absolute lie, we do attend classes though we've missed classes for a few days but that was only because we were busy with recordings of our songs and we apologise for that, school should be our first priority before anything else and we won't make that mistake again" Jason said

And I tried my best not to stare at him, he speaks so intelligently

"Okay, we are done with that then, let's come to our lead singer Aiden, some days back you bullied and embarrassed the lady sitting beside you in front your whole school and many reporters, what do you have to say about that?" Laura said and Aiden smiled

"Come on Laura, bully is an exaggeration, I was just surprised and taken aback when I saw Emily, you see she's actually a childhood friend and we were really close back then, we attended kindergarten and highschool together but we kinda had a little misunderstanding and we lost contact, the next time I saw her was that day in the hallway and that's why I reacted the way I did and we've actually settled our differences now so please you guys shouldn't term it bullying, y'all know I'll never hurt a fly" Aiden said with a smile and I almost scoffed

Damn, this guy is so good at acting, if I didn't know better I'd have believed him

"What do you have to say Emily?" Laura asked looking at me

"Well...ummm.... Aiden's right, we used to be really close back then but we heard a little fallout and we lost contact" I said

"What caused your misunderstanding back then?" Laura asked

"It's a private matter that we'll like to keep private am sorry" Aiden said

"Wow, was she your girlfriend?, Emily is beautiful after all" Laura said and we both scoffed

"Girlfriend?! No am not, trust me Laura I would never want to be in a relationship with Aiden" I said before I could stop myself and Aiden looked at me wide-eyed

What did you just say Emily! You are live on TV remember!

"Really? Why?" Laura asked

"Well......we just like siblings, you know how siblings love each other but can never date, that's how I am with Aiden, we are just friends" I said

Thank God I didn't mess up

"Okay, now from the video clip we have here with us on what happened in the hallway that day, Emily called Aiden rude brat while Aiden call her dummy, what do you have to say about that?" Laura asked and Aiden laughed

"It's kinda embarrassing but I'll say it anyway just to clear this misunderstanding, both rude brat and dummy are nicknames we came up with for ourselves back then, I know you guys might find it weird but it was kinda cute, it depicts our closeness right dummy?" Aiden said smiling at me

"Of course rude brat" I said with a smile too

"Wow that's great, you guys must be really good friends then" Laura said and we nodded

"I guess we've come to the end of this interview then, is there anything else anyone of you will like to tell our viewers?" Laura asked

"There is actually" Aiden said "we'll like to tell everyone that we are going to start filming the music video of our last song titled friendship and it will be released soon"

"Wow, that's great, please can you use this opportunity to tell us what the song is all about" Laura said

"It's about the ups and downs of friendship, friendship isn't a day's work and they are good and bad times, we might even stop talking completely but in the end when we meet again, we can deny the fact that we are friends and its such a beautiful thing" Aiden said

"Amazing, I guess you guys are making the music video to celebrate your reunion with your childhood friend Emily so she'll be featured in your music video right?" Laura asked

"What?" Adrian said taken aback just like I was

"I thought it would be perfect if Emily's is in your music video cause the song is all about friendship but I guess you guys aren't close enough for her to appear in your band's music video" Laura said and I scoffed

Music video?! Me?! Impossible!

"You got it wro...." Aiden was interrupted by Jason

"You got it right Laura, of course Emily will be in our music video, the song is about friendship and Emily is our friends afterall though we wanted it to be a surprise for everyone but since you've said, we might as well admit it" Jason said with a smile

"Oh really, sorry for revealing you guys secret for everyone but I guess this will only increase the anticipation for the music video" Laura said with a smile

🎙️ Aiden's POV 🎙️

I looked at Jason trying to keep up the smile on my face

Why the hell will Emily be in our music video

This is totally unacceptable

"This is the end of our interview and am so honored to have hosted the music fairies here today, bye everyone" Laura said and I managed to wave my hand

The cameramen stopped filming and I sighed

This why I hate Live interview, you can't take back or correct anything that happens in it

"Thank you guys for the interview, you can go to the waiting room your manager will meet you there and I can't wait for you guys to release 'friendship' music video" Laura said and I managed to smile

We went to the waiting room and I quickly closed the door

"Why the hell did you agree to that Jason, how can we feature the dummy in our music video"

"Hey, it's not like I have any intention of being in your music video so shut it" Emily said and I scoffed

"I see your boldness continues to grow by the day but stay out of this!" I yelled

"What could I have said Aiden, we had to agree to that to make the lie believable" Jason said

"I think Jason is right Aiden" Michael said and I scoffed

Where the hell is Bryan, he should find a way out of this

Moments later, the door opened and Bryan came in

"Did...." Bryan cut me short by putting up his hand signifying that I should stop talking

"There's nothing that can be done, Emily will have to be in your music video now excuse me I need to go take my blood pressure drugs" Bryan said calmly and walked out

What's wrong with him
