Many citizens who didn't watch the news were unaware that the mayor of Taverdale had quietly been switched twice in just four months.

"Was it you?" Celeste suddenly asked. She looked blankly as she scrolled through the news on her phone.

Damon wasn't bothered. "What goes around comes around. What's so surprising about that?"

At first, Jordan's situation would have nothing to do with Damon. However, Jordan overestimated his own abilities and tried to threaten Damon.

Since he dared to force his daughter onto Damon, it was a convenient opportunity for Damon to extract some useful information from Sherry.
