Chapter Thirty

~Adriana’s POV~

He slowly pulled away from me and to my surprise, he didn’t snap like I had half expected him to. He didn’t even try to pretend like the kiss didn’t happen, nor did he move away from me as the silent car continued to drive along the busy street.

Deciding to ignore him and the array of feelings he was igniting in my body, I refocused my attention back to the passers-by on the road who were obviously going about their day to day activities and due to exhaustion as well as boredom, I soon began to doze off.

“Sir, are we still making that stop at Walmart?” I heard the driver ask from the front and immediately, I began to pray that Massimo wouldn’t agree to that.

I was tired as it is, so tired that even as my head bobbed, hitting the car’s window painfully at intervals, I still didn’t even try to change positions because I feared that moving around would only fully wake me up.

“No, Adriana here is asleep,” Massimo replied, making me smile.
