**Trigger Warning! Mention of rape and abuse**

A small crowd stood at the entrance of the alley staring into it, most of the people there wore a sad expression on their face while most of them looked in and just walked out, shaking their heads sadly.
It wasn't a rare sight to see people beaten up and left to die by that alleyway, but each time it happens it draws the attention and sympathy of the people, yet no one offers to help.
This time, a lot of people's attention was drawn to it because unlike the usual occurrence of seeing young men beaten to death there, it was a very young girl around the age of 15 or 16. Her clothes were badly torn with huge stains of blood on them, leaving only a little to cover her privates; but that barely offered enough coverage, bruises were all over her body, some of th
"I'll drop you off" Amanda offered Alan, as soon as she was done washing the dishes. He smiled at her and nodded "sure thing" he said then turned to Jonathan and smiled at him "I'll see you later, little man, I will text you later." he promised.Jonathan grinned widely and bobbed his head up and down "and I'll make sure to reply to all your texts""Jonathan lock the door when we leave and do not open it for anyone, your watch should strictly remain on your wrist" she stated, Jonathan looked at her and nodded before turning back to Alan "when you both are done, I'll be outside. " Amanda said with an eye roll, slickly hiding the smile on her face. She hates to admit it but Alan looks ethereal when interacting with Jonathan, in those moments she willing forgets the reason he is in her life currently, and she wouldn't mind keeping him in her life if he keeps being so cute with Jonathan.Shaking her head, she snapped out of such thoughts and got into he
Amanda felt a heavyweight on her arm as she tried to turn around, she tried moving again but the weight still rested on her arms. When she tried again for the third time and her arm wouldn't budge, she panicked and quickly opened her eyes only to sigh in relief, and let out a chuckle at her fear. Jonathan's head rested on her arms; which is the reason she couldn't move. They both fell asleep after watching multiple shows, talking to him about their family went smoother than she expected. He took everything in good spirit and even consoled her at a point. She smiled warmly and used her free hand to pat his hair softly before moving his head gently away from her arms to the pillow. She picked up her phone and her eyes widened when she saw the time, it's 7:55 "oh my God! Jonathan wake up! You are late for school" she yelled, tapping the poor boy gently but rapidly "Jonathan I said wake up! You are already late for school. How on Earth did I miss my alarm"
OLIVER gulped down nervously, shaking under the intense gaze of Amanda. He glanced at the people in the room, looking for who will be the bait; the person that will break the news down to the boss, but everyone avoided eye contact with him."For the last time, what is going on?" Amanda asked a very harsh tone to her voice; clearly unimpressed and frustrated at her workers' attitude. She took a deep breath and focused her gaze solely on Oliver, instead of looking at them all at the same time "Mr. Romans, why did you call me?" She questioned. The sweat on Oliver's forehead increased, his tie suddenly became too tight and he loosened it trying to catch his breath "well.. well.. Miss West, an.." he stuttered, trying to find the right words and the courage."Are you going to talk, or will you keep chewing on your words?" He jumped a bit, clearly startled by the evident and raw anger in his boss's voice. He took a deep breath and handed her his tablet "An.." he
Trigger warning! Violence, physical abuse and mention of rape a few years back Amanda laid on their cold cemented floor, groaning in pain. The coldness of the floor and the massive injuries on her body, added up together to create an unbearable amount of pain for her. Her hands clenched on her stomach; that has received multiple kicks and punches in the last minute, her whole body as always was filled with blood and bruises that she receives constantly from her own family. Her two elder siblings hovered around smirking; her brother's smirk had an obvious evil glint to it as he counted the money in his hands, while her elder sister's smirk has a look of guilt attached to it, but Amanda could care less. They both were in it together; torturing, beating, and taking all she worked hard for. "When will you ever learn, little si
"I'm so sorry I'm running late, there was traffic and.." Maya rambled; apologizing profusely while gesticulating with her hands. "It's okay," Amanda said, raising her hands to silence her in the middle of her rambling. Maya immediately shut up and took a deep breath, "Morgan here has already handled what I called you here for, over 2 hours ago" she stated pointing at Morgan while giving Maya the side-eye. Alan noticed the look and chuckled, but immediately covered it up with a cough when everyone turned towards him. Morgan rolled her eyes at him before she turned to Maya and smiled warmly at her "I'm Morgan" she introduced herself again and brought out her hand for a handshake. Maya stared at her hands in slight disgust, before looking up and giving her a tight-lipped smile; clearly displeased by her presence. "I am Maya, the legal advisor for Miss West," she said, more like reminding her and bitchily just shook the tip of her hands. Amanda looked at
Alice sat in her well-furnished living room; everything there screamed expensive!, From the curtains down to the flower vase that is positioned on the center of the table in the room. She twirled the glass of red wine in her hands with a little smirk as she stared at the TV screen. She was happily watching the celebrity news channel; the reporter on the screen was giving information concerning the article about Amanda West, that was released earlier in the day. She raised her head and burst into laughter when the reporter gave a rough estimate of the percentage of loss she received due to the article. Her laughter went from a hearty laugh to an evil cackle, pushing her bonnet away from her hair; making her wavy hair that she forcefully made straight transcend down her shoulders. After cackling for a while longer, she brought her head down and faced the screen. A smirk graced her face "glad that little bitch is finally being put in her place." She muttered ven
Amanda sighed deeply as she parked her car in her garage, she picked up her bag and removed the car key. She was about to step out of her car, but tears welled up in her eyes and she frustratingly threw her bag to the passenger's seat. She expected their attack but not this fast, all she ever wanted was a peaceful life away from her disgusting, toxic and unpleasant family, but no, they always have to come in at the peak of her happiness and destroy everything. She let the tears roll down her face for a while before she harshly wiped them away, "they might have succeeded in the past to break me, but not this time around. Even if I have to sacrifice the last drop of blood in my body, I'll make sure I ruin them" she promised her self, her voice as thick as the heaviness in her heart.Reaching out for her bag, she brought out her mirror and her small makeup bag and immediately applied touches here and there to hide the fact that she just cried. She smiled at herself
"For the first activity, we'll be playing games! And the winner gets two slices of pizza all to themselves!" Alan announced through the microphone; that is still a puzzle to the others on how it got there. Everyone began clapping as soon as he made the announcement "yeah, and our first contestants are Mark and Jonathan!!" He stated in an excited voice; bouncing from one foot to the other. Malia and Amanda started clapping, while Jonathan and Mark glared at each other. "Contestants please select your gamepad" he instructed and both of them walked forward and selected their gamepads. "The game will now begin in, 3, 2, and start!" The robotic voice in the game announced this time around, and the two boys started their game. Silence and tension hung heavy in the room as everyone's eyes were fixated heavily on the TV screen that's hosting the game match. The two boys played intensely, Jonathan's eyes never leaving the TV while Mark would occasionally glare at the

Amanda slowly opened her eyes with a beautiful smile gracing her face, she stretched out her hands to touch Alan but she only felt the warmness of the sheet and a sigh left her lips knowing he just got up. She stood up and stretched lightly as she did, her smile widened even more when she heard him laughing downstairs with their child. She couldn't believe how much the years have passed and how things have changed, little teardrops made way to her face as she remembered how much her life has changed within 5 years. *~ 5 years ago ~**The moment she got to Morgan's law firm, she parked hurriedly and stepped out of the car ready to run to her office but met her standing by the firm's door with a huge file on her hand and beside her stood a worried Alan, who kept darting his eyes around searching for something or rather someone because the moment he set eyes on her, she could see the relief wash through his face.*
Amanda strode into her company with a casual smile on her face, she couldn't remember the last time she was in there, and the shocked look and calculative stares of her employees made her nervous. Her smile never wavered as she confidently walked into her private elevator, the moment the doors closed she took a deep breath to calm her nerves, avoiding people for over a month has clearly done more harm than good. The elevator opened to reveal Oliver standing there in a suit with his tablet and a cup of coffee in his hand, a welcoming smile graced his face the moment he set eyes on Amanda "Welcome back, ma'am" She smiled back at him and nodded, "Thank you, Oliver" she said and took the cup from him, "shall we?" She asked and with a nod from him, they started walking to her office while he briefed her about the things he forgot to add in the email he sent last night. "Thank you for handling this company while I was away, you've done so well." She said gr
Alan sat rigidly on the sofa, his eyes would occasionally dart towards the stairs and each time a sigh would leave his lips when he doesn't see her coming down. He couldn't tell if it was a sigh of relief or nervousness, he doesn't know if he wants her to come down now or wait a little longer and the worst part, he hasn't figured out how to tell her."Calm down Alan, calm down" he muttered to himself and rested his head against the sofa as he continuously took deep breaths, after a while, he managed to relax and calm his fast heartbeat, but before he could fully relax, he heard footsteps approaching and his heartbeat skyrocketed again and he immediately sat up.He gulped nervously as his eyes took in the woman standing before him, she looked stunning even tho she was dressed in a very big oversized hoodie with tights, and her hair was wrapped up in a towel. He dragged his eyes from her legs and with great difficulty rested them on her face that was radiating with a smi
"What the fuck do you both think you are doing here?" Amanda spat out as soon as Andrew and Alice were close enough, she instinctively stood in front of Jonathan to keep them from seeing his coffin."That's not a nice way to welcome your elders!" Andrew said with a stern look on his face and a scoff left Amanda's lips. His features softened a little when he managed to catch a glimpse of Jonathan's coffin despite Amanda's attempt to block his view, but there was no trace of remorse or sadness in his face as he stared at it "I'm here to pay my last respects to my brother" he stated, turning back to Amanda and staring into her eyes.Amanda stared at him in confusion for a while before a low chuckle escaped her lips, "you!" She shouted, shoving her index fingers into his chest "you! You want to pay your last respect to him?" She pointed her fingers back at Jonathan's coffin, her face contorted in pain and anger "the same boy you killed?!" She
COUPLE WEEKS LATERAlan's eyes rested on Amanda as the mass for Jonathan was being carried out, her face was devoid of any emotion but if you look close enough, you could see her clenching and unclenching her fists, she would occasionally blink away the tears or bite her lips to hold back a sob.A deep sigh left Alan's lips and he moved away from where he was standing and went over to her, he softly grasped her hand in his without saying anything. She immediately looked up at him, surprised by the grand gesture because they barely had a proper conversation in the past two weeks. He could tell what the look on her face implied but he discarded it and mouthed "it's going to be okay", tears welled up in her eyes as he said that, but she nodded and tightened her grip on him before turning back to face the coffin and the priest leading the mass.A surge of gratitude washed through Amanda even tho she didn't say it out loud, she spent all week wondering how she
Amanda submerged herself fully inside the bath, hoping she will suffocate but seconds turned into minutes and she immediately pulled her head out of the water. She started coughing hysterically and hitting her chest repeatedly, her coughs suddenly turned into cries and she began mumbling apologies "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.. I'm so so sorry" she kept mumbling as tears streamed down her face.Disgust crawled up her skin at the thoughts she had, her skin suddenly felt too tight and she wanted to claw it out. She couldn't believe she wanted to end the life that her brother, her brother that hasn't even lived a quarter of his life sacrificed for her to have, she let herself cry for a few more minutes and continuously mumbled apologies before she slowly wiped them away."I promise to avenge your death with the last drop of my blood, Jonathan" she mumbled with bitterness dripping in her voice, her pain was now replaced with anger, resentment, bitterness, and need
Amanda laid on the bed, surrounded by darkness courtesy of the curtains that haven't been opened in a week, she was trying to force herself back to sleep like she has been doing the past week when a loud knock came on the door. She groaned and covered herself with the duvet to block the noise out till it stops, it always does, in 5 to 10 minutes it will eventually stop and she will be left alone again. She laid in that position unmoving waiting for the sounds of loud knocking to be drowned out by the silence she has grown comfortable with, but the time went from 5 minutes to 10 to 20, yet the knocks didn't stop coming. This made her slowly sit up in the bed, "please leave me alone" she muttered weekly, praying the knocks will stop coming and the memories pushing at the gates of her mind will disappear, but none happened.Sighing, she laid her head against the headboard and pushed Jonathan's plushie closer to her chest, and squeezed her eyes shut as she tried to dro
"He's getting discharged today. Congratulations on recovering fully, Mr. Weasley" the doctor said with a smile on his face, but Alan just stared blankly at him. The smile on the doctor's face just doesn't make any sense to him, why is he so happy? Why is he being congratulated? Should he be happy that his body is whole but his memories aren't? Is he even allowed to be happy when the boy he came in here with, is dead?. He let out a breath and clutched his chest in pain as he remembered the broken look on Amanda's face as she watched her brother's corpse get wheeled away. Tears threatened to fall from his eyes, and he immediately squeezed them shut. "Alan..." Adilah called out shakily as she took slow steps towards him, "it isn't your fault, I swear" she repeated the words she has been saying for over a week now. Her eyes glazed over him, filled with pity and sadness, she couldn't bear to see her brother beating himself up for something he didn't do. Si
