Luca pressed the accelerator as he sped off in the less busy student of Venice in the hot afternoon. He had received a call earlier in the office that day, telling him that Angelo had been rushed to the hospital due to an injury. He cursed under his breath as he overtook a black car. If Maria hadn’t come to the house to clean it up as her usual routine, no one would have been around to take him to the hospital.
