Kathrine's POV

He stopped breathing as he eyed me grimly for daring to ask him a question.

He said I wasn't allowed to ask anything. But I know for a fact that he likes it when I overstep his words and break the rules he created for people around him.

If it wasn't the truth then I wouldn't be breathing still. Although it is painful and with the cast around my neck, it's hard to speak, I am still alive. I blinked my eyes at him, waiting for a reply.

It was expected that he would skip the question. But him still standing over me, glaring down at the painkillers wasn't.

"Take them." I didn't move an inch as I returned his stare.

My body was numb because of all the dread that rushed through me. I still had the courage to challenge him even though the blood on his shirt and shoes signified he was a bad man and I shouldn't trust him. The tempted part of me was keen to know how far it would stretch and how far would he stifle himself.

"I want you to leave her." He growled
