A waiter came soon after and asked what would they like as a drink.
Luke went to order two coffees but Vera had to cut in and tell the waiter that she wanted a chocolate milkshake.
This surprised Luke because not once has he seen Vera drink anything other than coffee.
He wondered why?
Because Luke knew how addicted she was to coffee. He didn’t think anything would change that with Vera.
So when the waiter left, he turned to Vera and said.
‘I haven’t seen you once without a coffee.’
‘I had like a million before now, I think it’s giving me the jitters.’ Vera says.
She had to think of something before she got here. Vera knew he would notice her not drinking coffee.
Luke didn’t really believe her.
Because jitters or not, he thought she would never stop drinking coffee.

Luke and Vera laid there in silence as they watched the stars.Luke was just soaking it up how it felt to have Vera pressed up against his side.He thought it felt magical.Nothing could beat this moment.Nothing could ruin this moment.Luke was going to remember this moment for the rest of his life.Vera was that comfortable that she felt herself falling asleep.She never dreamed of laying next to a guy.After what happened to Vera, she thought she wouldn’t be able to get close to a guy before.But Luke, he didn’t play very fair.He wouldn’t leave her alone until she trusted him.Even with trusting Luke, she still couldn’t imagine lying next to a man.Though the sudden shrill of Luke’s phone frightened Vera, making her swiftly sit up and scoot over a slight bit.She looked over to Luke to see him frowning.Vera wondered was it because of her reaction.

Vera ignored the nurse, she was still mad with her.But also, she figured that Luke had already stated what she was.She didn’t need to say anything else.Instead, she slid her hand out of Luke’s and rushed over to Sera to kiss her head.‘Mummy,’ Sera murmured in her sleep.This made Vera’s heart race.She liked what she heard.But it saddened her because it couldn’t be so.Her and Luke weren’t together.They were friends.He was also still her Boss.She also had a secret that was hard for her to accept still.She didn’t want to burden Luke with her situation.She was better off dealing with it herself.After Vera kissed her little Angel, she found a chair to sit.She was beginning to get quite tired.When Luke heard his little Angel call his love, Mummy, it blew him away.It was the best feeling in the world.

About ten minutes later, Luke saw Josh step into the room.He was glad his friend and brother had come.Josh quickly scouted the room and when his eyes rested on Vera asleep on his shoulder, he gave a little grin to LukeLuke gave his own grin back.It made him happy that his friend and brother had accepted Vera.He knew that joshed loved his Vera.He knew it was a protectively brother love.If Luke recalled, Josh had actually accepted Vera as soon as he knew of Luke’s intention.It was Josh who had suggested the ‘Win a date with Mr. Reynolds’And for that, he wouldn’t forget Josh ever doing that for him.Josh walked over to Sera and kissed her head ever so gently so he wouldn’t wake the poor little girl up.He then sat on the chair that was on the other side of Luke and Vera.He pulled his phone out of his pocket and held it up to show that he was going to message him.

When Luke offered Vera the coffee, she declined it like he thought she would.That’s why he had back up and offered her the milkshake.Vera was quick to grab the large take away cup and sip it.Josh watched on and saw what Luke was talking about.He wanted to be straight forward with her and ask her why.

Luke walked straight into his room.Which was right next to Vera’s.He didn’t want to be too far from Vera.Just in case she needed him.He felt devastated.But he still believed he was doing the right thing.He would do anything for his Vera.And that meant raise her child.She couldn’t give up a third child.He wouldn’t let her.Because he knew it would torment her.
