Even after University had resumed and everything was back to the way it had been, Rosalie could not get accustomed to the fact that she had guards watching her. The first week, one guard stayed in the car, while the other followed her around, maintaining his distance from her, but keeping her in eyesight.
Four days of nonstop working and investigation, and it all led nowhere. Arcangelo and Vincent had dealt with every possible person--hell, they even interrogated anyone that may have the slightest possibility of being involved--yet, they were nowhere close to finding the mole.
Darkened grey smudges of wool threateningly surrounded the sky; like a predator would encircle its prey. A startling low rumble rang loud in the cool fall air, the sky roaring with satisfaction. Trickles of liquid hit the ground with as much force as a small child. Hungrily, drizzles turn into canon fires, barricading everything in its way. A sense of cleanliness caresses the atmosphere, washing away all impurities.
The sound of the jet's engine infiltrated the airport as it taxied to a stop, its white surface glinting in the sunlight as it came to a halt. After a moment, the stairs lowered as Arcangelo stepped out of the interior, walking down the stairs as a Rolls Royce stood awaiting him.

The sound of the shower running infiltrated the washroom. The steam rising and dispersing throughout the space before the sound came to a sudden stop.
For the last week, Arcangelo had been doing nothing more than meeting with various Mafia bosses, attending various functions, and dealing with all the calls from Vincent. He hardly slept 3 hours every night and he was completely drained. His head hurt, he felt lethargic and he wanted nothing more than to sleep. However, that wasn't a possibility, given the fact that it was his last few hours, and before leaving he had to go to a brunch with Gambino before he would be heading off to the airport.
"There are only two things I want in this world," Rosalie confessed as she looked up at Arcangelo with soft glowing eyes and a beautiful smile. "I want you, and I want us."
The sound of her alarm had Rosalie shuffle around her bed before reaching out in search of the device, her fingers fumbling over empty space until warmth enveloped her palm. Peeling open her eyes, her vision cleared as she noticed another hand swipe off the sound. A soft chuckle escaped her as she turned onto her back and glanced to her side, smiling up at Arcangelo who lay awake beside her, his head propped up as he stared at her with pure gentleness.
Arcangelo had his arm draped over Rosalie's waist as she lay with her back to his chest both of them sleeping soundly at 7:30 a.m. in the morning. That is until their bedroom door burst open as their children came running in.
The room was silent...and white. The ceiling was tiled with circular lights fixated into the structure as there was the soft humming of a machi
The day was postcard-perfect, even the buses were running on time. Downtown, the skyscrapers shone silver in the morning sun and the sky was an unbroken backdrop of blue. Commuters walked like shoals of fish in a myriad of directions, not one of them in winter garb. Spring had arrived in Tuscany and for once it wasn't with a deluge of rain.
The air outside glistens with snowflakes as the sun hadn't even made its appearance. The flakes fell gently against the light breeze, landing on the white blanket, accumulating one after the other as it all crunched beneath the guard's snow boots. All of them dressed in heavy coats and other protective clothing against the weather while they patrolled the grounds at six in the morning.
The warmth of her surroundings was what awoke Rosalie; that and the horrid dryness of her throat. With a soft grunt, she blinked her eyes open, instantly recognizing the pungent smell of a hospital disinfectant before her vision had even cleared.

Arcangelo layon his stomach, watching Rosalie sleeping beside him.
"I don't see the point in attacking the main defense before the first line." Vincent shrugged as he peered over the plan placed on Arcangelo's office table. "That's all."
Rosalie sat in bed beside Arsenio as they both talked over a storybook. Arcangelo had to attend a call, so the little boy took the opportunity of having her read a bedtime story to him.
