Cynthia thought Isaiah was a great kid.

"Then think about how I've spent these past years," Matthew reminded her in a friendly tone.

During Cynthia's pregnancy, he had not touched her once, fearing he might harm her or the babies. After childbirth, he had been there with her throughout the postpartum recovery. Then, he had been preoccupied with taking care of the children.

Initially, they could have left these responsibilities to the babysitters, but considering these were their own flesh and blood, he took his role as a father very seriously.
