Meanwhile, Riley had pinned Travis against the wall and was smiling, radiating charm. "I told you not to worry. Isaiah can handle himself."

"It's daytime now," Travis replied with a deep, husky voice.

"Can't we do it during the daytime?"

Travis then proved to Riley that he was more than capable of doing it during the daytime.

Just as Riley had said, Isaiah was reading his book in the yard, and whenever someone came looking for them, he would use their busy schedule as an excuse to keep them downstairs.

As evening approached, after a day of energetic play, Isabella savored her dinner. Halfway through his meal, Isaiah, being quite self-aware, spoke up, "Auntie Riley, Uncle Travis, Isabella and I will be heading home tomorrow."

Having accomplished his mission, he saw no reason to stay here. After all, adult time was important.

"Why?" Isabella's eyes held a hint of confusion. "I've made plans with Nick to play together tomorrow, and he even mentioned inviting other kids over to play
