As Uriel left, Illebaye returned to Ethan, who was still finishing his dessert. "All done, sweetie?" she asked, smiling.

Ethan nodded, his face still flushed with excitement. "Yeah, Mom. Thanks for lunch. It was amazing."

Illebaye smiled, hugging her son. "Anytime, sweetie. I'm glad you enjoyed it."

Just then, Ethan's phone buzzed with a text from his friend. "Mom, I have to go. My friend is waiting for me."

Illebaye nodded. "Okay, sweetie. Have fun. But don't forget to stay safe and be back home on time."

Ethan grinned and hugged his mom before rushing out the door.

Illebaye watched him go, feeling a mix of emotions. She was happy to see her son growing up and making friends, but she couldn't help but worry about his safety and well-being.

As she turned to go back inside, she noticed a car pulling up outside her house. Her heart skipped a beat as she saw Lycan Cross getting out of the car, his eyes fixed intently on her.
