Stella, in the dead of the night, wakes up and looks to her side.She absentmindedly noted that Reese is not in bed. She doesn't bother to put on her slippers and heads down the stairs, past the living room, into the kitchen.It's her kitchen anyway so she doesn't need any light to know where things are. She walks over to the knife cabinet and pulls it open. Lily's hands trembled slightly as she turned the key in the lock of the house that's always so eerily quiet. The grocery bags weighed heavily in her arms, but not as heavily as the one in her chest.
