Chapter 11

Chloe was about to meet James at lunch time at the famous Japanese Seafood restaurant near the mall but she prepared early because she has a flight to New York City at 6pm today.

She quietly packed her things in a huge suit case, and she typically chose formal attires for the business seminar that would make her looked elegant and dominating, she wanted to impressed James in any way possible.

She doesn't want to leave him alone right now, specially that their nearly wedding was just a month away and they would still need to prepare for the grand ceremony but she had no choice, she was always the obedient one when it come to James. She just couldn't say no.

She became submissive to James and she could give everything he wants, because she loves him so much.

She was an hour early before lunch time to their meeting place, that's why she decided to stroll on the mall near the restaurant to avoid boredom on waiting for him.

She went to the jewelry store to look for a present for James' mother since it was her birthday tomorrow, she would give it to James today so he could give it to his mother. She bought a gold necklace with diamond pendant for her, the most expensive one she could find.

Since her soon to be mother in law have an eye with luxurious jewels its easy to find a gift that suits her tastes.

She was about to leave the jewelry store when a woman suddenly bumped her shoulder really hard. She felt the pain as if she was hit by a wall.

She was really furious of what had happened even the woman said her sorry already. She was about to nag her but she suddenly felt nervous and shocked when she raised her head to see who she was.

"Su.. Summer? is that really you?" She utter in almost a whisper manner. The woman's nervous state instantly turns into glee after seeing who she was and she held her hands cheerfully with a sweet smile on her beautiful face although she wore a thick old fashioned eye glasses.

She was totally stunned and shocked for a moment and lost for words to say. But noticing the way she acts and approaches her seems she's still not aware yet that she and her former husband will be getting married soon.

"My god Chloe! I've missed you so much!" She exclaimed excitedly holding her hands tightly. She missed her these past few years. She was her best friend since high school to college but they've lost contact the day she left the country.

"I've missed you too, Sam! Where have you been?" Chloe manage to say after being lost for a moment and force a smile on her face.

They were really close before but she hated her ever since, because of Summer she just become the second best in all aspects, she was her undefeatable rival. She was really beautiful ever since but compared to Summer she seemed so ordinary and between the two of them she was really the smart-ass.

Summer was superior in everything and outshined her that's why she hated and envy her so much, she began feeling inferior specially when she caught the attention and interest of the man she likes the most, James Mazon falls head over heels for her.

She knew him first and she loves him first, how come she got him instantly while there she was making every efforts she can to atleast be noticed by him, but still because of her he wouldn't even looked her way as if she doesn't even exist in the first place.

She couldn't accept the fact that a nobody like Summer would end up with a man like James Mazon and beat a woman like her who comes from a well known and wealthy family.

But things were different now, she owns him now because she gave him up that easily, the things she wouldn't do to him.

She couldn't harm her before because she treats her like a real sister and she knew she loves her so much, her kindness kills her inside, that's why she hated her so much.

She annoys every inch of her, and now that she had James Mazon for herself, she wouldn't lose him to her anymore. She will fight for him no matter what happens.

"It's a long story" she replied with a sadness showed in her eyes.

"What happened in your eyes?" Chloe asked curiously changing their topic.

"Astigmatism." She lied, she can't tell her that she was hiding herself.

They went to a coffee shop and continued chatting about each other like they usually do before.

But Chloe didn't mention anything regarding about her and James Mazon's relationship and based on how Summer talks to her, she knew she was really clueless on what was happening between the two of them.

The way she talks about James seems like she hated him so much and she was relieved about that, knowing she never wanted to see him anymore.

She felt a bit assured knowing that she wouldn't even want to interfere with their relationship if ever she knew it.

She trusted her words because she knew her so much and she does what she said.

Summer was an honest person and she believes her, and by the looks of her, she wasn't even interested on talking about him, so for now there's no reason to worry about her, which worries her was James, she knew how much he loves her, he would do anything to get her for sure.

He must not have the chance to see her, but what if he already knew that she was back? Is that why he suddenly decided to send her away? She was lost in that thought when Summer snap her fingers in front of her.

"Hey, are you still listening?" She said with a light chuckle.

"you seemed like day dreaming" she added laughing. She looked at her and smiled sweetly.

"sorry, I'm just pre occupied with work at my dad's company. You know.. heiress right?" Chloe replied and check her wrist watch, it's past 12pm, already lunch time.

James must have been waiting for her already.

"My god, I don't want to leave you now but I have an appointment at lunch time and I'm already late. I have to go, meet you some other time okay?" Chloe said in her usual sweet voice but before she get off she took her contact number for them to stay connected.

She said her goodbyes and hugged her tightly just like before, before she go on her way. She was left there inside the cafe, feeling quite happy about seeing Chloe today, her best friend since college.

She went back to the jewelry store to buy that pair of earrings that she was looking at a while ago, she was certainly sure that it would looked good on her mom.

Chloe walks to the elevator and went down from 6th floor where she left Summer.

She checked her mobile phone it has one miscall and a message from James telling her that he was already in the restaurant and been waiting for her for almost 10 minutes.

She called him back. Chloe knew James very well, she knew how James hated waiting for someone, and she doesn't want him to get mad that is why she called him as soon as she reads his message.
