Chapter 30_ Pregnant

Alex stared at the fragile woman on the bed as he returned from getting the first aid kit to attend to her wounds.

Isabella didn't speak a word to him since he arrived from the office. She didn't expect to see him, she was pleased but at the same time having mixed feelings. This wasn't the first time that he'd come and save her.

Alex took his seat near her, he cupped her face in his palms and rubbed it gently. "Are you alright?" He asked her, she smiled as she shrugged her shoulders. Isabella didn't know the words to respond to him.

She was aching all over but dared not say a word to him about it. She had seen how cruel Alex could be with anyone who hurt her and she wouldn't want the blood of those bodyguards to be on her hands.

"Isabella, talk to me. I hate it when you keep mute" Alex stated.

It took Isabella a few seconds before she could speak. It was then Alex noticed that she had been slapped by those men. The tiny bruise on her delicate face wasn't visible to him until that time
