Unexpected Things

A sudden knock on the door catches Haneul's attention. He places his wine glass on the table, setting it aside before walking to the door and opening it up, “Yes?” he asks the person outside. He frowns as no one answers. “Who is it?” he repeats himself, still no answer.

He sighs and opens the door. Haneul burst into tears seeing his father standing in front of him. His father pulls him into a warm hug and pats his back gently. “What happened my son?” he whispers softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

Haneul looks at him through the eye patch and lets out a quiet sob. He wraps his arms around his father and cries. “Dad, I love her," he says quietly.
